Used car buyers beware!

Used car buyers beware! I have debated at length on whether or not to write this review, mostly because I am embarrassed and feel like I was fooled. However, I want others to be aware of what happened to us. In spring of 2022, we bought a used, low mileage Lincoln Navigator Reserve from Westpoint Lincoln. We were told the car had been driven as a demonstrator by someone at the dealership for the last several months. It had a few dings but nothing major visible. We asked if the car had been in any accidents and were told "NO" and also shown a clean Carfax report. We negotiated and settled on a price based on this information and the dealership agreed to fix all the dings. However, right after we bought the vehicle and were arranging insurance coverage, we were notified by our insurance agent that the vehicle had claims, including open claims, for body damage of almost $16,000, and these claims were several months old. I called the dealership and spoke with the Used Car manager and he said he wasn't aware of this information but would check and get back to me. After a week, he still had not called back so I called him again and he did not take my call. From all we learned from our investigation with the insurance company, it is certain that the dealership knew about these accident claims because their own insurance company would have informed them. (as to why they did not show up on the Carfax - I have my suspicions and will leave that to your deduction). While I love the Navigator as a luxury SUV, we feel we were knowingly lied to by this dealership. We negotiated a price for the car based on it being a clean, accident-free car. Had we been told honestly that it had been in an accident (or multiple accidents), the price certainly would have been different - if we had wanted to buy the car at all. That decision should have been ours to make. Also, we now have doubts about the honesty of any of the information they told us. We definitely will never do any business with the Used Car department at Westpoint Lincoln in Katy and likely will never buy from the new car department either. A dealership that fosters such a lack of integrity and character does not deserve our time. We will take our business elsewhere.

Ms. Thompson, Thank you for expressing your concern regarding the vehicle you purchased from us on March 1, 2022. Based on the CarFax there was an accident on August 23, 2022 that shows moderate damage to the vehicle. I’m not sure where your insurance agent is receiving their information but nothing indicates this vehicle was sold with any knowledge of an accident at the time of purchase. I appreciate your response. However, you missed the issue. After we purchased the vehicle, we found out from our insurance agent that open claims existed on this vehicle. If our insurance found them then the dealership's insurance also knew about them and therefore, the dealership knew but did not disclose them to us. I would certainly like to know why the accident damage was not on the CarFax. The main issue is that the dealership would not return calls.

Great service every time I come to get my vehicle

Took my car in for a slow leak in my tire and they replaced it with a new one. Bret my service advisor is always helpful and takes care of me always

Westpoint, honest and trustworthy repair facility

Awesome service every time! Service updates, great service and repairs. Drop off and pick up made easy. Will continue to use Westpoint when needed for small or big repairs

A great salesman in Jerry Keller, ask for him

I could not have had a better experience car shopping than with Jerry Keller. He was amazing. He was patient, kind, understanding and knowledgeable. He is an amazing salesperson.

Wish I’d gone there first

After many frustrating months waiting for vehicle we’d ordered somewhere else I went to West Point and am so mad I didn’t go there first. The selection- amazing, staff- PHENOMENAL and they made all of the customizations happen by my birthday as a surprise. They have my business for life

West Point Lincoln is Fantastic!

I continue to be impressed by West Point Lincoln as a company. I especially respect the service department. I've said this before, and I repeat, they keep my 2011 MKS running like new...year after year!

Terrific experience buying from out-of-state

As a long-distance buyer, I was over the moon to receive outstanding customer service from start to finish. Beginning with sales rep Michael Cook to the drivers who transported my car to my location, everything was done professionally, courteously, and with tremendous attention to detail and communication. The car I bought arrived in perfect condition exactly as shown and described on the website. Fast and reliable service

Broght car in because was having difficulty starting it the past 3 days. After relating my dilemma to Marcus, my service advisor, he stated it was probably the battery. After a short wait, I was informed that my car was ready. I didn't realize the battery was still under warranty and they replaced it at no cost. My kudos to the BEST service team at West Point Lincoln!!
