BUYER BE WARE

**BUYER BE WARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP**  Found the Mercedes S550 I had been looking for at Mercedes of Naples. I live in North Carolina and after agreeing to pay a premium price, $2,500 over market pricing, with the expectation and knowledge that this car was purchased new by the original owners and service at this dealership, that this authorized Mercedes dealer, would sell a safe and properly reconditioned vehicle. I drove the car back to NC, only to realize the tire trend on the rear seemed minimal. In NC a car has to be inspected prior to registration. I took the car to be inspected and was told that the rear tires were below 3/32nds almost to the wear bar and would not pass inspection and needed to be replaced at a cost of $640 plus tax. I have only had the car 2 days. I called the dealership about the issue and my salesperson told me that Dean Smith, Certified Sales Manager, would not replace the tires since it passed the dealership inspection. I have requested several times to show me the inspection report where the tire tread was measured with a safe tire tread level. I have yet to receive that information. It is clear that this dealership is only concerned about profit versus customer satisfaction and safety. I was very fortunate that I didn’t encounter rainy weather on the drive home, given this is a rear wheel drive car, I could have hydroplaned or worse. David Wachs, General Manager, should be aware that this is what he is representing.  I wish I had investigated this dealership further to determine that they are no better than the Shady dealer on the corner selling used cars out of an old gas station. You would think a truly reputable dealership would be more mindful of the safety of the cars they are selling to the public. I hope this complaint and any negative reviews that I can post online warning other consumers is worth the $640 plus tax the dealership is saving to pad their bottom line.

Hello Mr. Shealy, Hoping this reply finds you well. We do not and never have put profit over customer safety and we recondition these cars to their absolute highest standards. A technician went over this car when we acquired it and these are the things he recommended be replaced or repaired. -Engine Oil and Filter Change with Synthetic -Replace Air Filter -Replace Front Brake Pads and Rotors -Brake Fluid Flush -Mount and Balance Two New Front Tires -Four Wheel Alignment -Replace License Plate Bulbs So when you purchased this car all of this was already done. We assure you that had the technician here said we needed new rear tires we absolutely would have replaced them, but in this case we simply went with what the inspection suggested. As for the report we can show you the write up but it is only denoted in pass or fail and does not have specific measurements. It was never our intention to hold out to make a few extra dollars, on the contrary we attempt to get these vehicles as close to brand new as possible often at our expense as we usually discount the vehicles like we did in your case. Under this management we have proudly and fairly taken care of the Naples community, which has resulted in us being one of the highest rated dealerships in the area. We are sorry you feel as though you were unfairly taken advantage of but we went through every process to make sure everything was done correctly.

High Performance Tire Replacement

Had a nail puncture a brand new high performance tire. Mercedes located a tire in one day and replaced it on my car the next. They also flat bedded my car to the dealership, all at no cost. Can't ask for more!

Continuous Exemplary Attention to Detail

Adam Davis has now been a great MB Dealership representative. He has delivered exemplary service with his other associates. I highly recommend Adam and MB Naples for your next premium vehicle. Each time the vehicles have outperformed my expectation. The 2018 E400 Cabriolet is so much fun replacing the S550. Also continued follow up makes this experience fantastic.

Outstanding

From the first time I stepped into the Naples Mercedes dealership I knew that this was going to be a unique experience. Everyone was extremely curteous and I never felt pressure in any of my dealings. Although I have purchased Mercedes for over 20 years, dealing with this particulsr dealership has bee n better than the others. The service Rep Al Whittington and the Salesman Joe Politi are remarkable employees.
