Car Service

Regular maintenance and service for car bought here was very quick and well done. I love that they don?t do work on it when it is not needed just to make money. I asked to have the oil changed and tires checked. They didn?t do an oil change because they said it did not need it and that my tires were still in good shape. On the downside of their life but not needed to be replaced yet. Most garages or dealers would, in my opinion, find something that needed to be fixed even if it did not in order to generate profits.

A 1 star rating is too high for this dealership. This dealership lacks integrity to stand behind the warranty and insists on charging for everything possible and tries to add unneeded services to increase charges. Toyota makes a fine product however the corporation needs seriously to get new owner for this dealership if it is to maintain the quality product and customer service that built Toyota in the US.

All of these issues were discussed with you and you refused to honor warranty repairs. You gave excuses that due to the vehicle being purchased from a dealer other than you wouldn't honor the warranty work even though there was 30,000 to 34,000 miles on a vehicle, less than the 36,000 mile warranty limit, and even though the vehicle is younger than the 3 year time limit on the warranty. In the past when you have asked for us to "reach out to" and we did so, you gave the same refusals of repairs. There was no effort whatsoever on your part to understand that the item(s) were covered under warranty, much less any effort to try "to make this better". Over the years we have bought 6 Toyota products from different dealerships, some of them from your dealership. Yours is the only dealership to refuse warranty work due to the purchase being from a different dealer.

Poor communication and misleading information

I purchased a used vehicle from Murfreesboro Toyota, on 7-31-23, a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. The sales rep told me that there was a recall but it was not a safety recall and did not offer any explanation of what the recall was. When I tried to insure the vehicle my insurance company would not insure it until the security system update was completed, which was what the recall was for. The recall cannot be completed until 8-11-23. I now have a vehicle that I cannot drive, it’s just sitting in my driveway. I feel this should have been taken care of by the dealership before they let it leave the lot. Very disappointing!!

The service advisor I just spoke to was extremely unhelpful and unpleasant and further justifies my reasons for never using them, not even for recalls now. And I'll also be buying from another dealership.

This is not only a 'thank you' for the assistance provided in the sale of an acquired truck ... moreover, it is an expression of commendation for the exemplary manner in which an astounding employee performed his duties. Lino Lovrenovic's demeanor represents this dealership impressively. He was extremely knowledgeable about the availability of inventory, particulars about the vehicle we were considering and he made sure that acquisition process was clearly understood. At no time was there an inkling of pressure. Although the vehicle of interest was already clean, he had it detailed for absolutely immaculate presentation. The paperwork process was smooth and taking delivery was more pleasurable than imagined. This experience is how buying a vehicle should transpire. It is the type of service that affirms the decision to pass other dealerships in order to reach and do business with Toyota of Murfreesboro. Selling us the truck is appreciated ... but the service is gratifying! It is truly inspirational to see such caliber of professionalism with emphasis on customer service. The service department will waste your time.

The service department will waste your time. You’ll see your vehicle appear from the service bay and think you’re done. Think again! Your trip will be extended unnecessarily by a half hour with the single customer-facing employee slog’s through all the other customers. It’s silly that management is willing to have a single employee responsible for all that. It’s worse that they don’t respect customers enough to have additional staff.

Did they really do the work?

I take my RAV4 in for service and wonder if they really did the work. Today, for the second time, my fluids were not topped off and my window cleaner bone dry. They suggested I might have a hole in the system. My Rav had 12000 miles on it! About to drive back over there to have it filled up. This makes me really question the integrity of the service dept.

I was very disappointed. I was expecting to get an oil change which I believe with my mileage I should have received. I also wasn't happy that I got charged almost $150 to check a tire sensor and it still wasn't repaired. I bought my truck from Cleveland Toyota and received excellent service.
