Enclave
Have had my '08 enclave worked on for transmission lines leaks. Then the engine light came on. Ivan has always been really helpful in finding a loaner car. All the employees have been very helpful.

Cable Dahmer did it again
I started @ kc store for an oil change, and talked to Megan about a car in Independence I was interested in trading for. Once we determined that I would get to Independence before they could get the car to the kc store, she recommended I talk to AC when I get there. AC was buried but still took the time to take me for a test drive and got me started. Lance took over and we finished the deal. All 3 listened to my situation and worked hard to help me get what I wanted. I very much appreciate the teamwork!

Pick up and drop off service is great.
Pick up and drop off service is great. After that it goes downhill. Lane manager wanted to sell me manifold bolts and ball joints. The vehicle was towed in for customer diagnosed fuel pump failure. Repaired. But they didnt replace the lines and say they test drove it. The vehicle smells like an open can of gas in a garage. I guess I should be happy no sparks ignited my 5000lb boom boom.

Bought a used truck from this dealer.
Bought a used truck from this dealer. We were told it went through their inspections. Within a week we noticed transmission issues. We took it to Dahmer in Topeka and found out that the transmission was shot. Called the dealership in KC and left messages which were never returned. Luckily we bought the extended warranty. After warranty company finally got their act together, a month later, we finally got the truck back. We then got the title in the mail and the dealership only put my husbands name on it. We now have to pay another $25 to have my name added. Worst experience we have ever had buying a vehicle.

Beware of Cable Dahmer Chevrolet: Shady Practices
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Cable Dahmer Chevrolet, and I must say, it was nothing short of a nightmare. Their staff's shady practices are a prime example of why people despise going to dealerships in the first place. Allow me to share my harrowing encounter. First and foremost, if you happen to stumble upon an acceptable price for one of their vehicles online, don't get your hopes up. Cable Dahmer Chevrolet will notoriously for add an exorbitant $10,000 worth of hidden fees to the advertised price. It's a classic bait-and-switch tactic that leaves customers feeling deceived and cheated. They lure you in with an attractive price, only to slap you with unexpected charges once you're already invested. But that's not the worst part. During my visit, I discovered that Cable Dahmer Chevrolet has a disturbing habit of holding your keys hostage when you're attempting to trade in your vehicle. I had to ask for my keys back at least three times before they would give them back to me. This devious tactic is employed to prevent you from leaving the dealership without making a deal. It's a blatant disregard for customer autonomy and a desperate attempt to coerce you into accepting their unfair terms. The entire experience left me feeling frustrated, manipulated, and utterly disheartened. It's disconcerting to witness a dealership engaging in such unethical practices especially when everyone is already struggling with today’s economy, preying on unsuspecting customers who simply want a fair and transparent transaction. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Cable Dahmer Chevrolet to avoid it all together and go elsewhere. Their staff's shady practices and hidden fees are a disgrace to the automotive industry. Don't be fooled by their enticing online prices, as they will undoubtedly add a significant amount to the final cost. And be prepared to fight for your freedom to leave (we were there for 4 hours planning to walk out with a vehicle that day), as they will go to great lengths to keep you trapped within their clutches. Save yourself the headache and disappointment by exploring other reputable dealerships that prioritize honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction. Cable Dahmer Chevrolet is a prime example of everything that is wrong with the car-buying experience.

The service department is a scam.
The service department is a scam. I came in knowing exactly what I needed and I had the codes for the repair. I figured since I was there I’d have them change the oil as well. They said they needed to run a diagnostic test, which is $199, but that would be counted towards the cost of the repair, which again I knew I needed. They quoted me over $700 for the repair. I almost fell out of my chair. That is $400 more than two reputable auto repair shops quoted since their quote. Their labor costs were absurd. I told them no thanks and felt I was being ripped off as I already knew what needed to be replaced. Essentially I paid nearly $300 for an oil change. This is highway robbery. I will never go to them again and you should shop around. They told me “well the dealerships are always higher.” This is just a scam. Won’t happen again. Beware.
