My salesman Dennis Romack was awesome. Gave great advise and supported my choice without pushing me to purchase extras but educated me on them. Made sure I understood warranties on each vehicle I was interested in to help on my decision making. I highly recommend requesting him if your looking to buy. I knew exactly which vehicle brand I was interested in and he was so helpful to make sure I knew about each of them to start my decision for test drives.

My recent experience with the DeFouw team, and especially my sales consultant Ron Pierce, was extremely satisfying. I've dealt with dealers in the past who will try and upsell you into something you don't need with never ending pressure tactics. Hence, I usually drive my vehicles till they're all used up just to avoid that experience as long as possible. I went to DeFouw looking for a slightly used AWD Equinox. I looked at and drove several with Ron taking the time to clearly explain each of the vehicles features and differences. I settled on one which met my needs, and budget, and we were ready to work on a deal. However, prior to that I asked to see a Traverse just for grins and giggles and to compare it to the Equinox I wanted. It was my turn to upsell myself so to speak. I went ahead and drove a 2LT and fell in love with it, though I was very hesitant to even consider it given the higher cost. Went back to Ron's office and we talked about both vehicles and discussed each vehicle and deals/options in detail. He never pushed for either vehicle and said he wanted me to get what I felt comfortable with. He left me alone to ponder my decision for what seemed like forever. I finally made my mind up, we made the deal, and I could not be happier with my new ride. All-in-all this was one of the most enjoyable and non-pressure car buying experiences I've had in my 45 years of driving. I will definitely recommend Ron and the DeFouw team to anyone who asks.

Anything I write here will sound overenthusiastic or fake, but I'll try to moderate my tone. :D If you live in Lafayette and buy cars, you know That Big Dealership Group(tm) that owns most of the big-name franchises here. Yeah. My wife and I had gotten used to the kind of treatment you get from Those Guys, so didn't expect anything different when we walked into De Fouw to look at Chevy Volts. Well, we were dead wrong. We were introduced to a Salesperson, Chad Troxell, and began looking at a brand new Volt. He accompanied us on the test drive and then we got back and began talking numbers. We were in very early stages of planning a move to EVs (Electric Vehicles) - so weren't buying "now." It was then mentioned that pre-owned Volts are a pricing anomaly (they go for less than half of what they are new!). Long story short - we purchased a Certified Pre-Owned '13 Volt and love it! And, unlike other dealerships, they don't abandon you once they have your money. All our post-sale questions and issues have been resolved 100% perfectly and promptly. This is how cars should be sold, and this is how car sellers can earn someone's business - not just a quick sale, but an honest relationship over multiple car purchases. I only wish there was a way for De Fouw to wrest some other manufacturer franchises from Those Other Guy's grasp.
