subaru impreza 2025 exterior oem 01 jpg

Fresh off a ground-up redesign for 2024 that saw it ditch the available sedan body style, the Subaru Impreza enters 2025 with no major changes — and without much of a change in price, either. At a base price of $24,665, the compact hatchback is up just $580 from 2024’s pricing (all prices include $1,170 destination fee).

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The Impreza is available with two versions of Subaru’s signature flat-four-cylinder engine. The Base and Sport trims use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 152 horsepower and 145 pounds-feet of torque. The range-topping RS gets a 2.5-liter version that bumps output to 182 hp and 178 pounds-feet of torque. Both are paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The 2.0-liter returns an EPA-rated 27/34/30 mpg city/highway/combined, while the 2.5-liter gets 26/33/29 mpg.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Subaru Impreza will go on sale late in 2024. Pricing is as follows:

  • Base: $24,665
  • Sport: $26,665
  • RS: $29,555

Safety Features and Trim Levels

Every 2025 Impreza features Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist suite as standard equipment. The bundle includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-centering steering and adaptive cruise control.

The base Impreza rides on 16-inch steel wheels and has adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beams and dual-zone automatic climate control. The standard infotainment system consists of dual 7-inch touchscreens, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio and four speakers.

The Sport trim level adds a manual-shift mode for the CVT with eight set ratios, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and keyless entry and start. Inside, it features upgraded cloth upholstery and a single 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system.

In addition to the larger, more powerful engine and much of the Sport trim’s upgrades, the RS includes blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency steering, trim-specific exterior trim and upholstery, and a wireless phone charger.
