I bought a car at this dealership in June of 2020. It was new but had 4000 miles on it. Was told I would have 3 years or 36,000 miles, which meant 32,000 miles for me since it had 4,000 on it. Now I find out I don't have the 3 years either! They flat out lied to me! I also signed up for the "pay ahead on oil changes for 5 years" because they said I could use that at any GM Dealer if I had to move (I didn't think I would be in the KC area for 5 years). Now I want to move and I found out it only works at their dealership, so I am going to lose out on that as well. This dealership is a disgrace.

It took 3 weeks to get my truck in for an oil change -
It took 3 weeks to get my truck in for an oil change - had to be worked into their schedule - not mine - price increased from $85 the last time to $109 this time - was told the price of oil went up - however looking at past oil changes, the price of the oil was the same as previous times - was not pleased with the service department - have used Cable Dahmer service since 2004 - bought several vehicles from them - will probably check around for service departments.

Our car threw a check engine lightvand started running badly and we had no idea what was wrong with it. We made an appointment to get it looked at and we received stellar customer service and exceptional mechanical service from Cable Dahmer! We were even surprised to find out our car was still under an extended warranty. Taylor Swager was the gentleman who took care of us and our car and explained in detail the process, what was wrong and what was getting fixed, including the cost. Although our wait for the entire process was 5 hours, we were very comfortable in the waiting area and enjoyed some fresh coffee and the free wifi. We left feeling cared for and confident our car is back to tip top shape! Thank you!

Long wait times, poor customer service
Went in for an oil change and apparently they found a recall. They said the update would take 2.5 hours, it ended up taking 4 hours. And my car glitched on my way home from the dealership, which has never happened before.

More communication less walking around
I took my truck in for 2 problems, however they only fixed one problem and definitely over charged me still not knowing if they fixed the issue. Lack of communication on behalf of the whole staff, not very knowledgeable when answering questions back to the customer. Service manager avoids customer by not making eye contact, walking around aimlessly, and has no idea on what?s going on in the service bay. If you do not have to take it to Cable Dahmer/dealership, don?t do it! Save your time, effort, energy, and sanity and go somewhere else?s. They will lie to you and say they are booked out for a whole week and won?t even look at your Vehicle for that whole duration of time, no phone call, no communication with any of the staff. You are literally left in the dark having no clue of what?s going on with your vehicle. Not a place that I would recommend my worst enemy nor trust them for any other repairs. They are completely unprofessional, overpriced, and Incompetent. If the public is looking for a mechanic, this is not the place to go, your better off taking it to Molle or Carmax! I have never in my life been so disappointed in a business. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. If I didn't care about keeping my vehicle a certified Chevrolet used car. I could have done it myself in my driveway with just a floor jack, jackstand and socket set in just an hour. But instead it took 3 hours of my day by taking it to a so-called professional service center. Then charged me $202.00 dollars for that 3 hour oil change and tire rotation. I definitely will be going to a different Chevrolet dealership from here on out. I purchased my vehicle from Cable Dahmer Independence and had my 1st service there. But after this 2nd service I will not be taking it back there for it's 3rd service. I will also let all my friends and family know that they would be better off going to a different Chevrolet dealership. Due to their poor customer service and the poor excuse they gave me for why it took so long. Which had nothing to do with my vehicle. If you value your time and money this is not the place for you.

I purchased a car in Feb 2022.
I purchased a car in Feb 2022. I was told different prices for the vehicle. Salespeople put add-ons on the car I was not aware of. Very Dishonest Deceitful. My total price was 10,000 more than what was shown to me. I also didn't get to see any paperwork from the finance guy I was given a flash drive. I didn't find out about the price until the bank called to tell me the payment was higher. I called back to the finance manager and she said there was nothing she could do I had signed all the papers and I should have looked at them. I told her I didn't see any papers. The finance guy had a table top that had all the papers to sign. he would only show me where to sign and not show me the whole paper to read. I asked several times and he said they didn't have paper. he was in a hurry to get me out of there. The second time I spoke to him he said I would have given you paper if you had asked. I was given a 60-day tag and had to pay a penalty at the DMV. Mo is only 30 days. I just can't believe that a dealership would treat customers. I called the BBB and filed a report. DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THEM....

We were told we would receive a free oil change when we bought the car . Called to schedule it when the dash light said to . Upon calling them they said the offer had expired . It was the first scheduled oil change . Watch what they promise you ! They probably wont honor it !

Dishonest, deceitful, and not what you expect from a
Dishonest, deceitful, and not what you expect from a business in the Midwest. I found a GMC Yukon XL Denali on the website. The price on the website said and still says MSRP + a $5,000.00 market adjustment. Which I am fine paying due to the current supply issues. I called the dealership to get the details, confirm availability and double check the price. After talking to a salesperson named Jocelyn, she vocally confirmed all the above and the price. Here is the exact text that she sent: “Hello Ryan, this is Jocelyn at Cable Dahmer Buick GMC in Independence. I’m going to send over the specs on Yukon XL and the market base adjustment is going to be $5,000.” She then sent the exact spec sheet. I reply “I’ll take it”. 15 minutes later she calls and says the market adjustment price is actually $10,000.00 not $5,000.00 I then tell Jocelyn I will not pay $10,000.00 more because we had a deal at $5,000.00 more than MSRP. I then spoke with a manager named Mike and he would not honor the original deal either. Not a company I want any of my family or friends to do business with.
