Great service department.
Great service department. Linda was able to explain what was going on with my car and how much it was going to cost. It is never easy to spend so much money on your car, but Linda made it very easy. She explained everything and kept me updated till it was done. Thank you!

I recommend that you contact Dario for a wonderful car buying experience. Dario explained all of the safety and convenience features of my new Rogue. I had purchased several Nissan's from Evanston Nissan, but they have since closed their doors. I am glad I have a new home for all of my future Nissan purchases!

Let's start from the beginning.
Let's start from the beginning. I was in a car accident (not my fault) that led to my insurance declaring my vehicle a total loss. While waiting for official confirmation, I began searching nationwide for a replacement. I found 2 Mustang Mach-e vehicles at Huntley Ford in Illinois that matched my criteria and started communicating with an agent there. Over the course of about 1.5 months, I engaged with Huntley Ford and Bear Auto Group, discussing multiple vehicles. We went over details: I had pre-approval from my credit union, funds ready for a down payment, and confirmed the out-the-door pricing and how funds would be issued by me was kosher. I was assured that any negotiation on price (which I wasn't planning to do) would happen in person. I even confirmed tax and registration as an out-of-state buyer. On the day I received approval from my insurance and credit union, I booked a flight that required me to be to my local airport in 2 hours time, with a 9am arrival at the dealership. When confirming this flight info I was told to go to the sister store, Old Orchard Nissan, where they'd be expecting me and the vehicle was parked. However, upon arrival, nobody seemed aware of my situation. They insisted on starting the purchasing process from scratch, despite my prior communication with Huntley Ford. To my shock, the vehicle's price was $4600 higher than advertised due to a “processing fee”. They insisted it was non-negotiable and required their financing be used, which contradicted prior confirmations. As such my credit union's funds were deemed unacceptable, and they refused a card for the down payment, despite previous confirmations. Feeling baited and switched, I left frustrated. Without my knowledge my mother intervened, threatening to report the dealership for lack of professionalism to BBB and both my and their state’s Attorney General as a violation of consumer protections. This led to a sales manager asking me to return. Despite my reluctance, I agreed, only to face further hurdles. The dealership demanded my credit union wire funds, which they don't do. After much back-and-forth, I had to wire funds from a different bank for the down payment and was able to get the dealership to agree to a cashiers check shipped overnight from my Credit Union. Due to shipping deadlines, I ended up stranded in Chicago for over 5 days, as the dealership refused to release the vehicle without the physical check vs the CU’s issued copy and proof of shipping. When funds finally cleared, I was met with more frustration and 5 unanswered phone calls about how to proceed. When I arrived to retrieve the vehicleI found it uncharged despite sitting on the lot for days with access to dealership owned L2 and DC quick chargers. This ownership transfer was awkward, to say the least, with the sales guy I spoke to on day 1 printing a temp tag (90 days expiration) and giving me a key to leave. Back home, I faced more issues with titling and registration. Despite numerous calls, progress was slow, and expiration loomed. Communication from both the dealership and third-party registration company was lacking. The 3rd party registration company finally submitted title docs to a random office in the state roughly 35 days before temp permit expiration. The local office helped to tie the request to my existing personalized plates and submitted the registration and tabs to 3rd party around the 26th of the month. I was told that 3rd party would receive them, send to the dealership and then I would get them via mail from the dealership. Now here we are, 1 day before expiration and I’ve had no contact from the 3rd party or the dealership. I contacted Old Orchard Nissan today and they took my phone number and name (once again) and stated that someone would call me back. It’s been 90 minute and still no response. I hope sharing my experience serves as a cautionary tale and prompts improvements in dealership practices.

Salespeople leave a trail of slime across the showroom
Salespeople leave a trail of slime across the showroom floor. They constantly lie and manipulate. I got out of there with a good deal but it was despite their aggressive sales tactics, not because they were helpful.
