I had an extremely positive car buying experience at

I had an extremely positive car buying experience at Sterling McCall. When I walked in the door it was extremely busy (the day after Thanksgiving) but I flagged down a young lady and asked her to take me to the best salesman in the room. She left what she was doing and walked me over and introduced me to my salesman, Nick. Nick was beyond excellent, he was friendly, respectful, patient, thorough and extremely diligent. We worked thru several issues and in the end Nick got me a really great deal on an excellent vehicle. The Store manager and the Finance manager were also both friendly and great to work with. I rate Sterling McCall a 10 out of 10 and would definitely do business there again.

Effecient!

Effecient! No wait time. Waiting room was very clean. Use of TV was nice along with access to WiFi!

THIS IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

THIS IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I purchased a 2022 BMW X5 M Competition and dealt with Nick Ellis in sales. The truck had 9k miles on it and Nick stressed that it was in perfect condition. He said things like "the protective plastic hasn't even been removed from the driver’s foot rest." He really misled me. I specifically asked if the rims had any curb rash and how old the tires were. He said the rims were "perfect and if they were not, they would be repaired". He also said the truck had 4 new tires. I asked if the truck could be inspected for body damage and the dealership charged me $200 for their person to inspect the car. After not hearing from the inspector, I had to call them myself and was told that the truck was perfect. The dealership is in Texas and I was buying the truck via the internet, to be shipped to my home in FL. This was to replace my car that was lost in hurricane Helene. I was totally dependant on the dealership being trustworthy, which I assumed would be true, based on the cost of the truck (over $80k). I did not haggle at all on the price, because they said it was in perfect condition. Given the damage and devastation that we endured from back to back hurricanes, I was really dependant on Sterling McCall Toyota being honest and dependable. Unfortunately, they were not. Upon arrival, I noticed that ALL 4 RIMS HAD CURB RASH and ONE OF THE FRONT TIRES HAD A PLUG. I immediately called the dealership and this is when they became unresponsive. I received a call back from "Omar", a sales manager, the next day. Upon discussing the issue, he admitted that they found a nail in the front tire and did not disclose this to me before shipping. He went on to tell me that the issues were my fault and would not take any accountability. He made it seem like the dealership did me a favor, by selling me the truck. Upon further push back, he agreed to compensate me $400 for damages that would cost $1200 to repair. Given that I had no leverage, I asked them to send the check. After about 3 weeks of waiting (they claimed to have lost the check and a variety of other excuses), I finally received the check. During the three week wait for the check, I realized that I had charged the down payment for the truck, so I disputed the charge with my CC company and they decided in my favor. I have very detailed pictures, chat/email transcripts and records of every conversation with various personnel at Sterling McCall Toyota. I have since proactively worked with the dealership to resolve the issue, asking that my total out of pocket expenses for the damages ($1200) be compensated. The dealership agreed and sent me a new credit card invoice to settle the dispute. I asked the dealership for a release letter before making the charge and they went silent. Tonight, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be an attorney representing the dealership. He claimed that I had committed fraud, which is laughable. The dealership fraudulently misrepresented the condition of a truck costing over $80k and will not reimburse me for the damages. Furthermore, they wanted to charge me additional money and it appears that they were still going to make a claim for the down payment (otherwise they would have issued a release letter). This is a very shady dealership that I will never deal with again. I am reporting my experience to the DMV, AG, and BBB in Texas. Buyer beware, I have been dealing with a lot of dishonest people.

Good quality service at the expected dealer price (high). Do not, however, expect prompt service. The service reps are knowledgeable and courteous, but are settled with excessive turnaround time for their customers. The wait times have increased progressively over the last 10 years.
