Disappointed in Carlson Toyota

We had a scheduled road trip to Florida from Minnesota in September but was in need of our scheduled oil change before we left. We scheduled it at Carson Toyota because Lake Country Toyota couldn't get us in with such short notice. We did have a long wait at Carlson but on the next day we departed on our trip amd all was good. After a few hundred miles we noticed that the maintenance required light went on. It didn't take long before we realized that the old sticker on the corner windshield showed our last service at Lake Country Toyota. This meant the Carlson Toyota technician forgot to reset our next schedule. As drove on our trip we decided to place a complaint call and service help to let them know what they missed and wanted to know what we could do moving forward.. We were told that they would get to the necessary individual and we would receive a call from the dealer with apologies and help instructions within the next day or two. We still felt that this was probably a mistake and that was all what occurred. However, we never received a call. It's now been well over 3 weeks and we still have the light and message: maintenance required. The car is driving ok but it has entered our minds that if this happened as part of our service. What else did the technician forget to do or where was his or her mind when they worked our car? Disappointed in Carlaon Toyota to say the least. Because the miles we put in the vehicle to Florida. We are now about 1900 miles from our next service. For peace of mind, we will not schedule the service To be performed at Carlson Toyota in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Something that was probably small we hope, but we lost our trust in Carlson and never heard back from them. Maybe it wasn't all that important to them. Owner of a 2016 Toyota Hylander. I ordered a car on my 1st visit.

I ordered a car on my 1st visit. I was introduced to the manager and salesman . Everyone was very helpful without being overbearing.. They returned my phone calls promptly. My car was delivered weeks prior to the delivery date and everything was how I ordered it. They went over the car with me and set up my phone et cetera. This was my 2nd purchase through them and wouldn't go anywhere else. I got more than I expected for my trade in.

Do not put a deposit down without negotiating complete

Do not put a deposit down without negotiating complete deal in advance. Any deposit is not refundable once they attach your name to a vehicle. When a vehicle is 8 months out and you say you are interested in a particular unit you are screwed to get refund back. Beware-very shady practices to say the least.

We ended up ordering a 2023 Camry Hybrid from Johnny.

We ended up ordering a 2023 Camry Hybrid from Johnny. They gave us a reasonable trade in value for my 2012 hybrid. Hopefully it won’t take too many months to take delivery.

Fail to support the customer!

The dealer will not support the customer and failed to keep record of any communication over the years of my Tacoma rusting and my concerns with it. When I recently called in about the rust now perforating the hood from the underside on my 2016 Tacoma, the service department said they had no record of such communication and that I’m out of warranty (well yeah now I am duh!) and I’d have to take care of it myself and call Toyota motor corp (who also did nothing). Dealership accountability is a thing of the past. Loyalty and honesty is not a pride anymore and the customer eats the tab on these over priced vehicles when you need the dealer support the most.

Great customer service.

In February of 2021 I took my 2006 highlander in for new breaks. The breaks were replaced. In July of 2022 I noticed a small leak coming from the passenger side rear tire. I took it back I took the vehicle in and a leak was found. Brake fluid had gotten into the brake pads and caliper. Carlson service replaced the rear brake pads and the rotor on the passenger rear and also the caliper. After the work was completed I was handed a receipt that had no charge. The service manager told me it was covered by the dealership. To me this was great customer service and standing behind their work

People think because this is a big dealer they have all

People think because this is a big dealer they have all the paperwork ready to sell a car, xxxxxxxxx!. I purchased a car in January 1, 2022 and I wait to get the title transfer until end of March but when I checked the title status at the DVS MN website it said the title transfer transaction had been canceled in January 15 because the previous title was out of state that the dealer never submitted. Are you kidding me? what kind of dealer is this one that did not even have the car tittle? So now I am behind these people at all time to see they one day transfer the car to my name. Four and a half months have passed and still waiting, do not go to these dealer...crap. It seems they want just your money and do not care about you!
