The Mustang I was purchasing at the time previously
The Mustang I was purchasing at the time previously belonged to James Hendon, the used car Manager. Up to the time of buying the car, James was very helpful and acted like my new best friend. While James owned this Mustang he made a modification to the car's ECU. James made a promise to send me the car's calibration tool. This is a hand held tool required to return the ECU to OEM settings. When I received the car some days after buying, James had not included the tool as he promised. I contacted him many times afterwards and each time he made assurances he would send me the tool. Close to two months, no tool has been sent. Looking back it feels like James never intended to send it. It's important to us as buyers that all promises should be kept. Too bad, this experience falls into the buyer beware column. I won't buy another used car from AutoNation Ford in St. Petersburg Florida.

No way there’s this many decent reviews for this horrible dealership. Keep getting a warning message on my truck every time I tow I’ve called service twice they say we will call you back never get a call back Finance manager was shady as xxxx caught him in many lies when trying to sell me warranties Was told over the phone I’d get a $250 service credit for all my troubles but when I called to confirm there was no record of it. They said I needed to write a good review first before honoring the credit that was no where on paper. This is the worst dealership I’ve ever bought a car from.

If I could give them no stars I would. Every time my son has brought his truck in there to get fixed. They have screwed up the whole situation kept his vehicle for days and days at a time and the last time they didn’t even address the actual issue that it was in there. Lost his paperwork, claimed he didn’t have a warranty . Never go there!

Would have been a five, however they will not accept an out of state Federal Credit Union Draft for payment, unreal. I have bought vehicle in several state and never, never had this problem. How hard is it to call the credit union and verify the check!! As for personnel they were easy to work with.

I had some issues with the purchase of a used 2017 Ford F250 SuperDuty from AutoNation. There were numerous items that were wrong with the truck when sold to me. As a result, AutoNation stepped up and promptly resolved them.

Bought a used vehicle on 3/30 & was charged $199
Bought a used vehicle on 3/30 & was charged $199 electronic filing fee which was to cover electronic filing for registration, title and tag so that they could give me a new tag that day (no old tag/no trade). Paid in full, finished paperwork and then told system was down so here's a temp tag, we'll fedex the new tag when done. 4 weeks later no tag still, temp tag expired & AN doesn't respond to emails, texts & phone calls. Left detailed VM for Bruce Heath, GM who was in but unavailable when I called but still no response.
