I love all the safety features of this car! The weight of it also makes me feel safe, it also has many luxury items that I didn't even know I wanted, will never own anything but a Subaru again!

Great handling, poor mileage
I enjoy driving the car and it handles beautifully in snow and rain. Very ergonomic and comfortable for a family of 5. The cvt doesn’t bother me, though it does take some getting used to not feeling the acceleration in spurts that one is used to from a typical automatic transmission. The one area I am disappointed is I am only getting 17.8 combined miles to the gallon, far below what was advertised.

Happy Owner
We love our new Ascent! It handles extremely well, has all the safety features a family could ask for and more, and feels very spacious without driving like a massive SUV. Its stylish features and easy to use technology round out the perfect car for our family.

This car is incredible. Got caught in a snow and ice storm and it handled better than our 4x4. Safety features are incredible. Love it

Very weak engine too slow. Too poor for the price.
We wanted to return it the next day and it was not possible, I regret it so badly making that purchase, we always had Toyota and we will always stay with Toyota, we definitely fell for the size and safety features and forgot about the rest, power, confort and durability we also didn’t realized the most of the new vehicles come with many safety features. The first week I drove it I felt the weakness of the engine and the shifting was kind of weird the second week all the lights came on while I was driving and many features got disabled, I don’t know what I did but it went away...5 months later yesterday again the weird shifting and all the lights came on again I took it to the Subaru dealer they couldn’t tell for the first 2 days what it was until today the told me that it needs a new transmission and that it will take about 3 weeks to get it done, you probably don’t know how it feels all I can tell you is they gave me a loan very small car and I’m very disappointed. I regret it so bad making that purchase and I can wait to get a new Toyota Highlander. I learned to never buy a car that hasn’t been on the market for at least two or three years.

Subaru star
I did extensive research on mid-size SUVs. I hadn't really considered the Ascent until I checked Consumer Reports. I figured I would give it a test drive. That was the deciding factor. I haven't regretted the purchase. It is a comfortable, nimble and reliable vehicle. I could add several more positive adjectives but you get the idea.

Our 3rd Subaru
We've had 2 Subaru Foresters previously and had no problems what so ever. Buying an Ascent was not a hard decision. We wanted more room and comfort so we bought the Limited model. 4 months and aprox 7500 miles, both city and highway miles with no problems at all. Excellent vehicle

Love the Ascent
We are about 2 months into our Ascent ownership and it’s one of the best vehicles we’ve ever owned. We compared it to the Toyota Highlander, Acura RDX, Lexus RX and Infiniti QX50 and 60 and nothing else compared. The Ascent had so many more features for the money, rode better and had all of the latest tech. Super comfortable seats and a smooth ride is what we enjoy most. Highlander is ancient next to the Ascent, Acura had a terrible ride and the Lexus and Infiniti’s lacked basic things like Apple CarPlay and were so over priced when adding features. It’s not the flashiest suv on the road but it’s the best all around SUV out there for the price.
