Expert 2020 Lincoln Continental review

our expert's take

our expert's take

What Is the 2020 Lincoln Continental?

The Lincoln Continental is a large luxury sedan that seats up to five. It’s powered by a standard 305-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 engine that works with a six-speed automatic transmission. Two turbocharged V-6s, one rated at 335 hp and the other 400 hp, are available. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are offered, and the Continental competes with the Acura RLX and Volvo S90

What’s New on the 2020 Lincoln Continental?

The Lincoln Co-Pilot360 safety system now includes automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights.

What Features in the 2020 Lincoln Continental Are Most Important?

For the second year in a row and in a nod to the past, Lincoln offers a Coach Door Edition of the Continental with rear-hinged rear side doors. Meanwhile, the regular Continental with traditional doors comes standard with wood interior trim, a leather-wrapped power-adjustable steering wheel, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, remote start, push-button gear selection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system and heated front seats.

Should I Buy the 2020 Lincoln Continental?

Many luxury SUVs have more interior space and cargo room, and many other luxury sedans have quicker reflexes and more potent engines than even the Continental’s 400-hp V-6. Where the Continental makes its mark is with its classic styling and interior opulence.

Great value buying them used now.

Car is very quiet inside and with the adjustable suspension you can make it from soft to firm. Plenty of power and got 25.9 mpg on the highway doing 75 mph. 19 speaker Revel is the best sound system I ever heard in a vehicle. Much better ride than our Escape had or even the Edge.

Vehicle is loud inside the car. You can feel every bump in the road. Including the small tar repairs. Driving this car is nothing like a Continental should be or expected. Dealers have looked at it and say there is nothing wrong. We also have a 2017 Escape and the ride is more comfortable and quiet. Maybe this was one of the last cars made, I would not recommend it to someone who wants quite and comfortable.
