What Is the 2019 Ford Taurus?

The Taurus is Ford’s five-seat full-size sedan. It’s powered by a standard 288-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine that drives a six-speed automatic transmission. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are available, and competitors include the Chevrolet Impala, Toyota Avalon and Kia Cadenza. Ford also offers a performance-oriented Taurus SHO that’s powered by a 365-hp, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6.

What’s New on the 2019 Ford Taurus?

There are no significant changes this year.

What Features in the 2019 Ford Taurus Are Most Important?

Standard features include cruise control, cloth seats, a CD stereo and a 60/40-split, folding backseat. Available features include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, the Sync 3 touchscreen multimedia system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, navigation, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, adaptive cruise control and a power moonroof.

Should I Buy the 2019 Ford Taurus?

The Taurus is nearing the end of the line in Ford’s lineup; the automaker has announced it won’t be sold in the U.S. when this generation ends its run. A large trunk and decent dynamics have been highlights, but the Taurus’ cabin isn’t as roomy as many competitors’ and the car doesn’t offer great visibility.

An Amazing Value for the Money

Purchased as a certified pre-owned car from Ford at reasonable price with only 15k miles. Given the amount of money that I paid & the warranty, I really couldn't be happier. It's fun to drive, has lots of space, is great on the highway and the I particularly like the sync 3. For a larger car the handling is quite good. Gas mileage in town not great but 31-33, on long road trips.
