The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a compact luxury SUV that offers a choice of two turbocharged engines. The base powertrain is a 246-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo-four paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Optional is a 355-hp, turbo 3.0-liter inline-six coupled to the same gearbox. Both engines come standard with a tenacious four-wheel-drive system that gives the Discovery Sport outstanding all-terrain capability. And while the extra seating provided by the optional third row sounds good, keep in mind that it’s best suited for kids.
