Expert 2024 Kia Carnival review

What Is the 2024 Kia Carnival?

The Kia Carnival is a seven- or eight-seat minivan that’s powered by a 290-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Performance is seamless and refined in terms of passing power and acceleration, but we found the Carnival’s steering feel too light and the suspension too floaty. In the plus column, it brings a ton of standard comfort and safety features, and the infotainment system is extremely intuitive. Carnival rivals include the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna

What’s New on the 2024 Kia Carnival?

The Carnival is mostly unchanged for 2024, though the EX is no longer available with all-automatic up/down power windows.

What Features in the 2024 Kia Carnival Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • Cloth upholstery
  • Hands-free power side doors
  • 8-inch touchscreen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Seven USB ports
  • Remote start
  • Parallel park assist
  • Blind spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Lane departure steering assist
  • Rear-seat reminder
  • Safe-exit warning

Available features include:

  • Wireless device charging
  • Second-row captain’s chairs
  • Rear-seat entertainment system
  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Dual moonroofs
  • Leather seating surfaces
  • Second-row reclining lounge seats with heating and cooling
  • Dual-screen rear entertainment system
  • 12-speaker Bose audio system

Should I Buy the 2024 Kia Carnival?

Take the design of a rugged SUV and add a whole lot of minivan practicality, and what you get is the Kia Carnival, a broad-shouldered minivan that’s big on value and loaded with popular comfort and safety features. Two things could hold some minivan shoppers back: the lack of optional all-wheel drive and no available hybrid powertrain. Still, the Carnival looks cool and can carry lots of people and their stuff. The optional second-row lounge seats are luxurious, with a built-in recline function, foot rests, and heating and ventilation. They’re not removable, however, which minimizes maximum cargo capacity.

Living in the city, as most of us do, cars travel very close to each other. With the rear turn signals located approximately 12" from the surface of the road, the car behind me cannot see my turn signals to give them a warning that I am turning right or left. This puts me and my family at risk that would not exist if the turn signals were properly located higher where the brake lights are. Please consider issuing a recall to have these turn signals relocated to a higher place to keep my family safe. Many other people I have talked to are also concerned about this. I would not have bought the car had I known how low the rear turn signals were located. I am seriously thinking of selling it due to this serious safety concern. When I am in congested traffic I use the emergency lights to alert the driver behind me that something is going on!!! This in itself is a distraction from my ability to concentrate on driving the car when I have to worry about if the driver behind me can see my signals.

Ai programed by Idiots- electrics by stuck home

Car is possessed- doors won't open no matter what you do but then come out of hotel middle of the night and all the doors will be open. It locks you in or out when ever it wants. Look our the window hours after you drove the car and the lights are on. Breaks- highway drive for 65 or more miles without touching the breaks and there is NO BREAKS pedal goes straight to the floor. CAMERS don't function in rain, sleet or snow and lucky driver gets to drive ten hours with the alarms ringing the whole time. Camera will come on for no reason . Sensors will alarm you for guard rails, telephone poles, parked cars. The car is a nightmare and I'm only in it for 7000 miles. The dealer says there's absolutely nothing wrong. If anyone wants to bye call me- lol
