The South Korean Hyundai-Kia conglomerate hit the ground running in the electric-vehicle market, racking up awards from around the industry, and half of the lineup from Hyundai’s luxury spinoff Genesis is electric. As we found in our review linked below, the clumsily (but accurately) named Electrified GV70 shares much of those vehicles’ excellence. It also shares in their value: While nothing significant changes for 2024 (unless a newly standard Wi-Fi hot spot or five new paint colors change your buying decision), nothing needed to. For the new model year, the Electrified GV70 starts at $67,645 (all prices include $1,195 destination).

Pricing and Trim Levels

On sale now, the 2024 Genesis Electrified GV70 starts at $67,645 for the Advanced trim and $74,445 for the Prestige.

All 2024 Genesis Electrified GV70s come with a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack good for an EPA-rated 236 miles of range. Dual motors grant it 429 horsepower and all-wheel drive, while Boost mode can increase output to 483 hp for up to 10 seconds at a time. With this engaged, the Electrified GV70 can hit 62 mph in a claimed 4.5 seconds.

The SUV also comes with the trick Road Preview, an advanced suspension system that uses a camera to scan the road ahead and proactively prepare the adaptive suspension for upcoming bumps, potholes and other surface irregularities. (Other such systems are normally found on six-figure flagships, where they’re still an added-cost option.) Additionally, the Electrified GV70 Advanced includes keyless entry and starting, a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 14.5-inch touchscreen with navigation, satellite and HD radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless phone charging.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and junction assist; lane departure steering assist; blind spot monitors; rear cross-traffic alert with emergency braking; adaptive cruise control; a 360-degree camera system; and front and rear parking sensors.

For the additional $6,800, the Prestige trim adds Nappa leather seats, a synthetic leather dash and synthetic suede headliner, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, heated steering wheel and second-row seats, and a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system. Passersby can identify the Prestige by its white brake calipers.

For now, the Electrified GV70 is only for sale in 23 states — distribution being a problem with Hyundai EVs, as well. If you can get your hands on one, you’ll find it packed with value.
