After launching the electric GV60 SUV for the 2023 model year, Genesis added a rear-wheel-drive entry-level variant for 2024 that dropped the base price more than $7,000. For 2025, Genesis is filling the gap between that trim and the Advanced with a new base all-wheel-drive GV60, and pricing for the carryover trims increases just $350 from 2024.

Also for 2025, all trims now come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Genesis Connected Services, which allows owners to control their car and check its status via an app.

Powertrain Specs and Range

The base GV60 has a single electric motor driving the rear wheels and generating 225 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque; Genesis says it’s good for 294 miles (official EPA ratings for the 2025 model are not yet available). With a second motor mounted on the front axle, the base AWD and Advanced trims make a total of 314 hp and 446 pounds-feet of torque. The base AWD variant rides on 19-inch wheels and can go 264 miles on a charge, while the Advanced trim’s heavier 20-inch wheels drop its range to 248 miles.

At the top of the GV60 lineup is the Performance trim, in which the motors put out a combined 429 hp and 516 pounds-feet, though Boost mode allows for bursts of 483 hp for up to 10 seconds. The Performance’s range is rated at 235 miles.

All GV60s share a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack that can charge at up to 10.9 kilowatts. On a standard Level 2 charger like owners might install at home, it can replenish in about seven hours. A lower-output DC fast charger will recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in around 70 minutes, while a 250-kW charging station can get the same job done in just 18 minutes. Every GV60 also comes standard with vehicle-to-load capability, which allows the vehicle to power your home during a power outage or charge other EVs.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Genesis GV60 will be available later this year. Full line pricing, including $1,350 destination, is as follows:

  • RWD: $53,700
  • AWD: $57,200
  • Advanced: $62,250
  • Performance: $71,250

Safety Features and Trim Levels

Standard safety features on the 2025 GV60 include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-centering steering assist, a driver attention monitor, rain-sensing windshield wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and safe-exit assist.

In addition, the entry-level RWD GV60 features 19-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, a panoramic fixed glass roof, a power liftgate, heated auto-dimming mirrors with puddle lamps, and keyless entry and starting. It’s upholstered in synthetic leather and includes power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. Aside from the additional motor, the new AWD GV60 parallels the base trim’s equipment.

The GV60 Advanced rides on 20-inch wheels wearing wider tires. Its tech suite is upgraded with blind spot cameras, a 360-degree parking camera and automated parking. Inside, it features genuine leather, ventilated front seats and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

To rein in its increased power, the GV60 Performance gets 21-inch wheels, larger brakes and a limited-slip rear differential. It also features Genesis’s innovative Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview, which scans the road ahead with a camera and proactively prepares the suspension at each wheel for upcoming bumps and dips. The Performance’s cabin is dressed up with Nappa leather upholstery, a synthetic suede headliner, heated rear seats and adjustable bolsters, and massaging for the driver’s seat.
