What Is the 2023 BMW X6?

The BMW X6 is a fastback “four-door coupe” version of the X5 mid-size luxury SUV, with seating for five. X6 powertrain choices include a 335-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine or a 523-hp, twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8. The high-performance X6 M features a 600-hp, twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8, which is rated 617 hp in the M Competition model. All-wheel drive is standard, and all versions come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Competitors include the Audi Q8 and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.

The X6 sees a slight reshuffling of trim features for 2023, and optional Gesture Control for the infotainment system has been dropped.

What Features in the 2023 BMW X6 Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 3-inch configurable instrument display
  • 3-inch multimedia system
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity
  • Navigation
  • Forward collision warning with city collision mitigation
  • Lane departure warning
