Bad experience

My experience with shea automotive was terrible. I traded in my 2020 mitsubishi outlander sports BE with 18,000 miles and 03 escalade and in return I ended up with a 44,000 truck with 37,000 miles that ride terrible. I had problems with it the next day and they replaced both tires after waiting a week the problem didn't go away and I had to wait for almost a month for them to look at it .I thank Matt because he stepped in and helped me out. They still have my 44,000 truck in which drive horrible. To add on to it I was never giving a choice or carfax on the truck in which the truck was in a accident. I could go on but I will end it here

Dealer response

We strive to provide a positive car buying experience for every person, and it appears that we did not fully achieve that during your visit. Customer service is a top priority for our dealership, and it's important that our guests feel at ease during the entire process. If you are open to giving me a chance to make things right, I invite you to contact me at your earliest convenience. Best, The Shea Chevrolet Team

I wish you had a hundred stars!! Nate Householder and Theo Deming went over and above!! The trade in and new lease went very smooth and was perfect. Any questions, they were there and still are. Very knowledgeable on the whole transaction. I live in Cheboygan, MI. Yes, you are #1.

Lack of integrity

The Shea difference is lack of integrity. Here is my recent experience. We found a car we liked online and reached out to Shea Automotive. We got a text message back from them asking us when we would like to see the car. We set up a “VIP appointment” to see the car the very next day. I stayed in constant communication with their sales rep via text message and phone call to make sure the car was still available and worth the hour drive to the dealership. I received a text message from the sales rep approximately an hour before the appointment and they told me that the car was waiting for me to see it. They were well aware of the one hour drive I needed to make to get to the dealership. I let them know that we were on our way and excited to see the car. We drove straight to Shea Automotive and we were greeted at the door by a salesperson. They took us to one of the sales offices and began making copies of my ID so that we could test drive the car. As we sat there making small talk, another salesperson walked in. I presume he was some sort of manager. He “apologized “ and told us that the car had been sold just a little bit before we arrived. “How is that possible? We asked. We had a “VIP” appointment to see the car. Surely they wouldn’t tell us to drive an hour there, only to sell the car before we arrived. The sales manager stated that our “VIP appointment “ was only valid if they didn’t sell the car. They offered no other options. No compensation for the wasted 2+ hours of driving (in heavy rain). Nothing. They never said that we should or could put a deposit down over the phone to hold the car. They just wasted our time. The Shea difference is that they have no integrity and don’t seem to care about their customers. I’d love to post all the screenshots from our conversations but this review will have to do.
