Won't respond to new car's paint issues inquiry
They will sell you a car in a new york minute but if you find a problem GOOD LUCK! I found some paint issues on my new Prius and have e-mailed the sales manager and general sales manager and not gotten any response. Also e-mailed internet sales manager (twice) and both times his response was "I'll talk to my boss" but guess what....still waiting for a response. All I want is for them to make things right, touch up the scratches and chipped paint.🤬

I am leasing my 4th RAV4 from Carlson. Ryan, the sales manager, wanted me to trade my 2018 early, and told me he would do it for the same payment. When I got into the finance office, that was not true. While the payment would be the same, it did not include Gap Insurance, which my other payment did. I had to decline the Gap Insurance in order to afford the new car.

Wendell Harren is the sales person that patiently worked...
Wendell Harren is the sales person that patiently worked with us to buy a car that we wanted and needed. He was very patient with my wife and me. We weren't sure of what we wanted vs what we could afford. The car we bought was the one we wanted and is one we can afford. Wendell did not rush us ~ we had all the time we needed to be sure this car was what we wanted and what we could afford. We bought the 1st one here and it had lasted us 23 yrs.

Awesome place to check out. Went in to test drive a vehicle and got some excellent service from one of the sales person. They had a good selection of vehicles, but unfortunately the vehicle I wanted to check out was sold earlier that day.

They sold a car with no title!
I originally wrote a mediocre review for this dealer, but things have only gone downhill from there. First of all, after I bought my new car, the dealer never asked me for the keys to the trade in, and since I was excited about my purchase, I totally forgot that I still had my keys in my pocket. After a series of very rude phone calls and text messages from my salesperson, Terri, I had to drive an hour the whole way back after work at 11pm to drop the keys in the dropbox. I apparently put the keys in the wrong place, and Terri wrote me with a very rude message to let me know that. I was very unimpressed at this point. Anyway, months later and I still do not have plates or a title for the car I bought. It was a used car with a California title that had not transferred! The dealer literally sold me a car without a secured title! First of all, that's illegal. Secondly, now that I can't get plates, I'm driving with a very expired temp tag and I cannot apply for parking at my University in Phoenix, AZ. Without a car, I can't get to work! In fact my whole reason for buying this car was so that I had a reliable form of transportation for college. Well, apparently not because Carlson Toyota sucks!!

Poor communication
After several calls to and from this dealership about my appointment that was supposed to have been a couple of days ago, my personal experience was that I was talked over by the service manager and later by his manager, neither of whom was a very good listener. In my original call, I had asked whether they were still open and able to do the work after the governor shut down certain activities due to COVID 19. He said they were. I then asked what precautions they were taking to protect staff and customers. I mentioned that I work in health care. He never answered my question, instead fixating on the idea that I must be sick and should not have an appointment. I spent way too much time on the phone arguing with him that, since the appointment was already on our calendars, it should be kept. He and his manager decided it might be okay for me to come after the shutdown ended on April 10, and so I asked what would happen if the shutdown was extended. I believe his name was Scott, and his answer was that he would call me on the 10th. I left that conversation feeling dissatisfied, because my car didn't get fixed, and because no future appointment was made. It was not until today that I was told that the original person I talked to in Service somehow misunderstood that he thought I was ill. However, I was not offered a new appointment. I did ask if they would do that. I was not abusive or swearing. I did have to raise my voice once while Scott was telling me why he was right about everything, because I couldn't get a word in edgewise. After he heard me, he said he would call me back later. He didn't say why. I told him that I had spent enough time on this, and I still need to get the service done on my car. I asked him not to call me.

I need to add that I was not sick on the day of the appointment, nor have I been sick since the time I are the appointment a couple of weeks ago. I did not say that was ill at the time. The employee assumed that.
Buyer Beware! I bought a used mini vans from Carlson...
Buyer Beware! I bought a used mini vans from Carlson Toyota . The vehicle was being sold “as is”. I looked up the car facts, and nothing of concern came up. I went into the dealership to test drive. I checked the vehicle out and on the surface everything seemed fine. I go back into the dealership to ask the sales team what kind of condition I would be buying the vehicle in and I was reassured that the vehicle passed Toyota inspection and had zero major issues. I was in a rush, so I took their word for it as I trusted Toyota inspection. I buy the vehicle and next morning I realized the engine is leaking. I go back to their offices to see what they can do for me. They wasted half an hour and at the end let me know that it was my problem. Just a day ago, they proclaimed the vehicle to have no issue. I lost all faith in this dealership. They lied to me just sell me a vehicle that had engine oil leak. Don’t waste your time at Carlson Toyota.

This has got to be the worst Toyota dealership anywhere. The management at this dealership should be embarrassed and Toyota should too. Go anywhere else but here.
