Front-wheel-drive models are powered by a standard 250-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while all-wheel-drive versions use a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 316 hp. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Volvo also sells a plug-in hybrid version of the S60 that can travel up to 22 miles on electric power alone, according to EPA estimates.
