What Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla?

The compact Toyota Corolla is offered in sedan and four-door hatchback form and seats five. It’s powered by a standard 139-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission or a 169-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder that works with a CVT or a six-speed manual transmission. A hybrid drivetrain is also offered, and the Corolla Hybrid is EPA-rated 52 mpg combined. Front-wheel drive is standard.

Corolla competitors include the Honda Civic, Nissan Sentra and Mazda3. The Corolla sedan offers 19.1 cubic feet of truck space, according to Cars.com’s cargo measurements.

What’s New on the 2022 Toyota Corolla?

There are no significant changes this year.

What Features in the 2022 Toyota Corolla Are Most Important?

  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity

Should I Buy the 2022 Toyota Corolla?

Already a solid choice among compact sedans, a 2020 redesign of the sedan brought big improvements to the Corolla, including improved fuel economy, better ride and handling and a nicer interior. A long list of standard safety features and an easy-to-use multimedia system add to the Corolla’s appeal. The four-cylinder engines are noisy, however, and there’s not a lot of storage space in the cabin.

I have been driving Toyota Corolla 2022 LE hybrid for

I have been driving Toyota Corolla 2022 LE hybrid for more than three years now. The car is cheaply built. The interior is rattly. The car sits too low, so I constantly scrape the bottom of the car going over security bumps. Reliability of the car has been good. However, the maintenance has been outrageously expensive. Did you know that the car may not start if you ran out of gas and put the gas in? Security codes need to be cleared. Replacing a battery on your own can be problematic as well. Basically, maintenance of the car is geared toward dealers. Very few DIY tasks can be performed. One more thing - the body of the care is held together by the plastic clips and most of the parts cannot be reused - you have to buy new and install. I do not think I will be buying Toytas built from plastic clips any more. My next car will not be Toyota. Maybe Mazda.

Without a doubt the best car I’ve ever owned.

Without a doubt the best car I’ve ever owned. It’s smooth as silk while driving, while getting amazing gas mileage. It’s basically a better looking Prius.
