What it is: The Crosstrek is Subaru's smallest crossover, a five-seat model based on the previous-generation Impreza hatchback. Last year, it was available in gasoline-powered and hybrid form, but the hybrid has been dropped for 2017. All models come with standard all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
A Special Edition package for the Premium model is available with red or black exterior paint and includes 17-inch dark-gray alloy wheels, gloss-black interior accents, red stitching, red accent lighting and aluminum pedals. Keyless access with push-button start, satellite radio and a blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert are standard.
