What Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

The Nissan Pathfinder is a roomy SUV with seating for seven in three rows. All models come with a 284-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine that teams with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are available. Competitors include the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

What’s New on the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

Changes for 2020 are limited to a new Rock Creek Edition, aimed at buyers looking for a more rugged, off-road look. Available with front- or all-wheel drive on SV and SL trim levels, the Rock Creek Edition includes unique 18-inch wheels and tires, a black mesh grille, black roof rails, black door handles, black mirror caps and black badges. Inside, the Rock Creek Edition gets two-tone seats, contrast stitching and more badges.

What Features in the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder Are Most Important?

All models have standard automatic emergency braking, and all but the base S trim have blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. SL and Platinum models feature a 360-degree camera system. Nissan also gives shoppers the choice of front- or all-wheel drive on all versions, and all Pathfinders have a roomy, easily accessible third row.

Should I Buy the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

Despite several strong points, the Pathfinder competes with a flock of three-row SUVs that offer as much or more in the way of features. The Pathfinder suffers from a loud engine and a ride that’s rough and unrefined compared with other SUVs. Moreover, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto still aren’t available.

We upgraded our 2015 Quest to a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder.

We upgraded our 2015 Quest to a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder. We absolutely love it! The car has a great ride, great features, and does great on gas considering it being a big SUV. We have had the pathfinder for almost a year now and we have never had a single mechanical issue with the car except maintenance. If you want a car that lasts forever I recommend buying one!

Transmission died at 84,000 miles.

Transmission died at 84,000 miles. Not covered under factory warranty. Nissan refused to help with the $7500 for a new tranny, which comes with unlimited mileage....Its almost as if they knew the original transmissions were no good, hence the 60,000 mile limit on the warranty.
