The Mercedes-EQ EQE is a technological tour de force in either of its two available body styles, and it boasts posher trimmings than many of its EV rivals. Range isn’t class-leading, but it is competitive — unless a buyer prefers the high-performance, electron-gobbling AMG version. Cabin quality is generally excellent, though the onboard tech requires lots of patience to master. A small rear window in the sedan limits outward visibility, and the rear seat bottom cushions are high and hinder rear headroom. Of the two, the roomier SUV model is the more practical (if slightly pricier) choice.
