It comes as the GLA250 with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. A high-performance AMG GLA45 version comes with a 375-hp version of that engine and standard all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
The instrument cluster has been updated, and the available Multimedia Package gets a larger 8-inch screen. Android Auto smartphone connectivity is newly available.
