What Is the 2020 Mazda6?

The Mazda6 is a five-seat mid-size sedan that’s powered by a choice of four-cylinder engines: a standard 187-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder or an available 227-hp, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Both engines work with a six-speed automatic transmission. Competitors include the Kia Optima, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

What’s New on the 2020 Mazda6?

There are no significant changes this year.

What Features in the 2020 Mazda6 Are Most Important?

Standard active safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability.

Other standard features include automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 17-inch alloy wheels, the Mazda Connect multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and push-button start.

Available features include heated front seats, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a power moonroof, a Bose premium stereo, a head-up display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.

Should I Buy the 2020 Mazda6?

In the mid-size sedan class, the Mazda6 stands out for its handling and available premium finishes. However, the base four-cylinder engine could use more low-end power, and efficiency-focused shoppers looking for a hybrid version will have to look at one of the Mazda6’s competitors.

My Third Mazda

Wanted to upgrade from a Mazda3 (my 2nd) to more luxury and I got it with the Mazda6. Beautiful styling. Absolutely the most reliable and easy to care for car I have ever owned. Never fear to be on the road and I love the gas mileage.

Powerful Engine, Smooth Drive

I chose this car because of the engine power and luxury & safety features (got the Signature). It is also beautiful, and the cabin is quiet. The only areas I would improve: A little more front interior room would be welcome; ingress & egress a challenge because of low seats. I frequently bump my head getting in.
