What Is the 2020 Mazda CX-9?

The Mazda CX-9 is an SUV with room for up to seven people in three rows. Its powered by a 227-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front- and all-wheel-drive models are available. Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota Highlander.

What’s New on the 2020 Mazda CX-9?

New standard active safety features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist. Other new standard features include heated front cloth seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated side mirrors and automatic headlights with high-beam control.

New available features include second-row captain’s chairs, a hands-free power liftgate and a 9-inch multimedia screen. The SUV’s turbocharged four-cylinder engine is now rated at 320 pounds-feet of torque — 10 pounds-feet more than before — when running on 93-octane gasoline. A new off-road traction assist feature for all-wheel-drive versions uses the brakes to slow slipping wheels and send power to the wheels that have grip.

What Features in the 2020 Mazda CX-9 Are Most Important?

Standard features include three-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system, and LED headlights and taillights. The Touring trim level adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, along with leather-trimmed seats, a power liftgate and a 9-inch multimedia screen. Available features include a power moonroof, Bose premium stereo, a 360-degree camera system, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and front and rear parking sensors.

Should I Buy the 2020 Mazda CX-9?

In keeping with Mazda’s image of fun-to-drive performance, the CX-9’s driving experience is considerably more engaging than the three-row SUV norm. Handling is excellent, and the turbo four-cylinder engine is strong. The interior is also classy. Downsides include a base multimedia system that can be hard to use, and less cabin space than its main competitors, particularly in the third row.

Has more problems than others new cars in have own

This car is real nice exterior and interior but of all the cars I have owned this car has had more problems than others. I have owned the car for 6 months and my car has been in every 3 months. Problems repaired but why would I think a new car would have so many issues.

Great car, great features, great price!

This car drives, looks and feels like the luxury European models without the price tag. Mazda is a great brand. I will continue to buy.
