maserati grecale 2025 exterior oem 01 jpg

After launching for the 2023 model year, Maserati’s Grecale luxury compact SUV gets a revised base trim level, which will likely start around $70,000, and more color choices for 2025. Between the standard range and Maserati’s Fuoriserie custom palette, buyers now have 37 exterior color choices, as well as more mono- and two-tone leather interior options.

The electric Grecale Folgore also arrives for 2025. With front and rear electric motors providing all-wheel drive, the Folgore’s 542 horsepower makes it the most powerful Grecale, besting even the Trofeo’s twin-turbocharged V-6 engine.

Release Date and Pricing

The 2025 Maserati Grecale is on sale now. The Modena is $2,000 cheaper than the 2024 model, and the Trofeo drops $3,300. Pricing (including $1,495 destination charge) is as follows:

  • Grecale: $70,000 (estimated)
  • Modena: $77,995
  • Trofeo: $108,395
  • Folgore: $110,495

What Are the 2025 Maserati Grecale’s Trim Levels?

Replacing the GT at the bottom of the lineup is a new entry-level variant that simply goes by Grecale. Where the GT’s mild-hybrid turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder made 296 hp, the Grecale trim shares its engine tune with the mid-level Modena trim. It’s still a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but it’s rated at 325 hp. (All gas-powered Grecales have an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.) The base Grecale also rides on larger wheels than the GT (20s instead of 19s) and adds heated front seats.

While the base trim is now just as powerful as the Modena, the mid-level trim still enjoys sufficient distinction in the form of an adaptive suspension and a limited-slip rear differential. The Trofeo suffers from no such threat to its identity; powered by a version of the Nettuno twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 from the MC20, it boasts 523 hp and 457 pounds-feet.

Forward-looking Maserati shoppers can also get the Grecale in electric-vehicle form. Even with its electric motors besting the Trofeo’s output with a total of 542 hp and 604 pounds-feet of torque, the Grecale Folgore can’t quite keep up in a straight line, with Maserati claiming a 0-60 mph time of four seconds flat for the EV and 3.6 for the Trofeo. According to the EPA, the Folgore’s 105-kilowatt-hour battery pack is good for up to 245 miles of range on the standard 20-inch wheels, but it will drain the pack in just 206 miles on the optional 21s. Over in the internal-combustion camp, the base Grecale and Modena return an estimated 22/28/24 mpg city/highway/combined, while the Trofeo is rated at 18/25/20 mpg.
