What it is: Kia redesigned the Sedona minivan for 2015 and gave it bolder styling, new seats that offer greater passenger- and cargo-hauling flexibility, a new V-6 engine and a high-end SXL trim level with available Nappa leather upholstery.

All models have front-wheel drive, a 3.3-liter V-6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Seats for seven or eight are available, depending on whether the second row has two or three seats. The Sedona competes with the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto become standard on EX, SX and SXL trim levels, and are optional on the LX. Automatic emergency braking is now part of the optional Technology Package.

Junk engines. Stay away.

Bought June 2017 new. By February 2023 it was sold for parts at 120,000 miles. Engine bearings wore out. New motor was going to cost $10K. I took $2K from the scrapyard after paying $400 to get it towed to the dealership. Stay away from KIA. Junk. Don’t be fooled by the interior or Features. They have terrible engines.
