If youre looking to pay a ton of money on repairs due to the hybrid system warning, go for it. This car would always randomly start beeping telling me to pull over and to stop driving when there was an issue with the battery. finally got it fixed by replacing the battery and never had an issue with the system warning again, but it cost 1500 bucks. Just totaled it two nights ago by spinning out on ice on the interstate. It saved my life but still would not recommend. Sometimes in the morning it just would not start at all, its very unreliable.

Enjoyable commuter car...until hybrid battery dies

Overall this is an enjoyable and economical commuter vehicle to drive. However, the hybrid battery failed in 2020 (repaired under warranty), 2021 (repaired under warranty), and then when out of warranty in 2023 (~120,000miles), completely died with a repair cost of approximately $8,000. It seems that this is not uncommon around this mileage, so I hope other potential buyers can be aware of and anticipate this cost.
