The Honda CR-V is enormously popular because it does so much right. It’s easy to maneuver and has a nicely composed ride. Space for both occupants and cargo is among the very best in the compact SUV class, and Honda includes many standard driver aids. Also working in the CR-V’s favor is its strong fuel economy, especially with the available hybrid powertrain. Our only gripe is that the CR-V doesn’t offer the same spirited handling or punchy acceleration that some competing compact SUVs deliver.
