our expert's take

What Is the 2025 Genesis GV70?

The Genesis GV70 is a five-seat luxury compact SUV that emphasizes both style and value. The standard powertrain is a 300-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission; a 375-hp, twin-turbo V-6 is optional. For those interested in going electric, Genesis also offers an Electrified GV70 version of the gas-powered GV70. The GV70’s competitors include the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Cadillac XT5, Lexus NX and Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class

What’s New on the 2025 Genesis GV70?

For 2025, the GV70 gains standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (these connectivity features were previously wired). Additionally, Genesis Connected Services for remote vehicle access is now standard on all trims. The GV70 and Electrified GV70 are both slated to be refreshed for the 2026 model year

What Features in the 2025 Genesis GV70 Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 14.5-inch touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Synthetic leather seats
  • Heated front seats
  • Satellite radio
  • Navigation
  • Wireless device charging
  • Rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot warning
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Safe-exit assist
  • Driver drowsiness monitor
  • Hands-free power liftgate

Available features include:

  • 21-inch alloy wheels
  • 16-speaker Lexicon stereo
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Panoramic moonroof
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Surround-view parking camera
  • Leather seating surfaces
  • Tri-zone climate control
  • Head-up instrument display

Should I Buy the 2025 Genesis GV70?

Despite being a luxury SUV — or perhaps because of it — the stylish GV70 is a terrific value when compared with pricier rivals. It comes standard with a long lineup of comfort and tech features, and its distinctive styling sets it apart from the competition. The cabin also deserves credit for its modern design and refinement even though the touchscreen is placed too far from the driver, its console-mounted control dial is easily confused with the rotary-style shifter, and cargo space is only so-so for its segment. Regardless, the GV70 and its Electrified GV70 sibling are standout performers in a highly competitive field.

This is a beautiful vehicle inside and out, Great

This is a beautiful vehicle inside and out, Great styling and comfort. Performance is great . Mileage is disappointing. User interface for settings is confusing and you have to go very deep into drop down menus to set basic functions. Cargo area is small for an SUV of this size. I ordered mine with a trailer hitch but the factory trailer hitch looks like it was added on at U-Haul. It is not integrated into the design at all and certainly looks like an afterthought. VERY disappointing Regardless, I think it is one of the best looking SUVs on the market

I absolutely love this car.

I absolutely love this car. So many features and a very comfortable ride. So beautiful as well. I have driven a Lexus for 20 years and was very happy with it but was drawn to the look and warranty of the Genesis.
