
What it is: The Taurus is Ford's full-size five-seat sedan that's available in SE, SEL and Limited trim levels. Front- and all-wheel-drive versions are available, and the Taurus is powered by a standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine. It competes with the Chevrolet Impala and Toyota Avalon. Ford also offers a high-performance, all-wheel-drive Taurus SHO.

SHO stands for Super High Output, and this model is the luxury and performance leader of the Taurus lineup. The SHO swaps the Taurus’ standard drivetrain for a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine.
