Rock Solid Truck

I purchased my 2.3L 5 Speed Manual new in 2008. I hit a deer, a guard rail on black ice and been rammed from behind at a red light... i can still let go of the steering wheel today with zero alignments done and she drives straight as a ruler. The engine has been abused and poor maintenance has over 230000km (143000 Miles) and is rock solid. The body is starting to fall apart due to all the salt we put on the roads in the winter up here, but if i had the chance to redo my life, i would still buy this awesome truck. Going to miss it eventually, but will try to push it another 10 years... A+ in my books

Solid little truck that just keeps going.

I picked this truck, a 2008 white XL with 2.3 and automatic, what most would call a fleet model 3 years ago with 122 K miles. Since then I have put on 50K more miles with no real serious repair issues. Brakes and shocks along with routine maintenance are all I've had to do. She burns no oil between changes and I think that I can get at least another 50K out of her. Mileage in mixed suburban driving is about 24-25mpg. With only RWD, it's not a truck for bad weather or going off road, but as a commuter truck it serves me fine and is real handy for picking up lumber or bulky items. Bilstein gas shocks helped the ride and handling a lot. With a fairly high axel and transmission ratios, 65 to 70 is as fast as like to drive it comfortably.
