What Is the 2019 Ford Fusion?

The Ford Fusion is a mid-size sedan that seats up to five people. A 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is standard, but a selection of turbocharged engines is available, including a 325-hp, twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 that goes in the Sport trim level. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid (Energi) variants are also offered. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional. Competitors include the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima.

What’s New on the 2019 Ford Fusion?

Standard active safety features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights. The sedan also gets front and rear styling updates.

What Features in the 2019 Ford Fusion Are Most Important?

Standard features include air conditioning, cloth upholstery, a 60/40, split-folding backseat, cruise control, rain-sensing windshield wipers and push-button start. Available features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power moonroof, remote start, an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system, navigation, a Sony premium stereo, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.

Should I Buy the 2019 Ford Fusion?

The Fusion’s ride and handling is a highlight, along with the performance-oriented Sport trim level, which is fun to drive. The available Sync 3 touchscreen multimedia system is easy to use, but the backseat is cramped, and thick roof pillars limit forward visibility. The Fusion was last redesigned for the 2013 model year and is nearing the end of its run; Ford has said this will be the final generation of the sedan.

I have a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 199k miles.

I have a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 199k miles. Mostly highway trips but still running and driving like a new car. Always serviced by dealer. Screen freeze was a small problem but not a serious one. Hybrid still strong and mpg about 43 per gallon average. I love the features and ride on this car. I have most of the options and they are great. Bought it below wholesale and enjoying it every day

Great car thus far; future battery ???

Bought my 2019 in 4-2021. It only had 8700 miles on it, got it for 18k at Car Max. It was a fleet car; part of Covid sell off I guess. Retired now, drive around town with maybe 30% highway driving. Watch the EV/GAS indicator like a hawk; like driving a video game..my MPG; 48. The mileage is now at 48,700. Love the car, BATTERY LIFE is a major concern of mine. Done some research prior to buy on replacement battery; battery cost at that time from Ford dealer; ~$5800; recent check ~$10,500. After market batteries out there for less with warranties in the range of 12 months/15k according to auto/radio talk host. Local respected auto repair shop said the Toyata Prius hybrid batteries they had dealt with; they had replaced bad/weak cells instead of e tire battery; 2-3k...that was from 2021. At that time, no Fusions had been brought to them. The battery is my growing concern. If I keep this vehicle, what will it cost to have a battery replaced in the next 4-5 years? PLEASE NOTE: The NATIONAL radio talk show host did say, limit air-conditioning use; do not drive/brake like a wild-man. That would stretch out battery life. Original battery could go as far as 150k with sensible driving habits. Keep car from extreme temperature s; hot & cold. Still contemplating selling car now due to $$$$ in regards to battery not car performance.... LOVE THE CAR.....DREAD THE FUTURE BATTERY ISSUE.
