Should I Buy the 2022 Ford Escape?
The Escape is comfortable and delivers strong performance with its optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The Escape Hybrid makes good power while still managing 41 mpg combined in front-drive form, according to EPA estimates, and the plug-in hybrid offers decent electric-only range. The gas-only Escape’s eight-speed automatic transmission isn’t very willing to downshift, however, and brake-pedal feel could be better.
