I’ll never own another car!

My 2006 is coming up on 17 years and 155,000. No major mechanical issues, ever! My mechanic said it’s not even breathing hard yet. At age 65, I’ll die before the car does. I told my wife to bury me in it. No matter which way I go, I’ll have a comfortable ride getting there.

Will accomplish what I bought it for and more

I was planning on going Land Speed Racing on a paved Standing Mile under the sanction of the East Coast Timing Association. I needed a car capable of running 135-138 MPH in a Standing Mile and be reliable enough to drive from 50 miles west of Atlanta to Blytheville, Ar. With myself, my Brother and a friend and all of our gear for a four day trip. I researched the Crown Vic PO71 Police Interceptor which came with 30 more HP than a standard Crown Vic. It has a heavy duty transmission with a transmission cooler, a 3” aluminum driveshaft, a 3:55 to 1:00 Positraction rear end, heavy duty shocks and sway bars. For reliability I had the transmission drained and serviced, oil and filter changed and The differential drained and synthetic filled with synthetic grease. For Performance I had a 90 MM Throttle Body installed, and a Cold Air Induction Kit, 30,000 Volt Plug Coils and new Triple Platnum Spark Plugs. I had Stainless Steel Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors with Ceramic Brake Pads installed. My Brother Barry did the Throttle Body, Cold Air Induction and the brake work in addition to installing two Racing Bucket Seats in front and I installed a center console. I had W Rated performance tires installed then for reliability I had new front wheel bearings and rear Axle Seals installed. Someone remOved two Catalitic Convertors and the factory mufflers and Installed two Flowmaster40 Mufflers existing in front of the rear tire on each side. All rubber hoses, radiator hoses and clamps were replaced. Lastly that car was carried to Moes S’peed Shop in Hiram Ga. for a Computerized Tuneup. It should be making around 340 BHP.
