What Is the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Considered the pioneer of minivans, the Dodge Grand Caravan is a proven, dependable family hauler that offers great overall utility thanks to innovations like available seats that fold into the floor. Powered by a 283-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine that drives the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission, the seven-seat Grand Caravan competes with the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey and more modern Chrysler Pacifica.

What’s New on the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan?

The mid-level SE Plus trim adds second-row Stow ‘n Go seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and red accent stitching.

What Features in the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan Are Most Important?

Standard features include remote keyless entry, three-zone manual climate control, third-row Stow ‘n Go seating and a 6.5-inch touchscreen multimedia system. Second-row Stow ‘n Go bucket seats with in-floor storage bins are available, along with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, power-sliding side doors, a power liftgate, a heated steering wheel and navigation.

2020 Dodge Grand Caravan Vs. 2020 Honda Odyssey: How Do They Compare?

Both minivans seat seven, and the Odyssey offers available seating for eight people. Both have V-6 power, but the Odyssey returns slightly better EPA-estimated gas mileage. The Odyssey is the more modern minivan of the two, with more available technology features and a wider range of trim levels. The Grand Caravan, however, has a lower starting price.

Should I Buy the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan?

The Grand Caravan hasn’t changed much in the past few years even though competing brands have launched new and redesigned minivans — Chrysler included (with its Pacifica). These changes in the minivan class have made the Grand Caravan’s budget-minded pricing its main selling point.

For me the transmission changes out roughly.

For me the transmission changes out roughly. Feel like parts are going to fall out. Plus I keep hearing a winding noise when accelerating. For a 2020 I don’t see why the transmission changes so roughly.

Great van, just some flaws

I owned this car for a very short time, we bought it in 2021 used with about 30,000 miles on it. The car was in excellent condition and honestly I wasn’t expecting to have so many issues. I had to replace the transmission once, but it was still under warranty. Thank god! There was some other repairs that had to be made on the car. The one negative about this car was the performance. I know that no one chooses a van as a performance car but this van was so slow, and pick up was terrible. All together, there was a lot of space for the family. After having another transmission issue we decided to get rid of the van. It was a shame because I was truly a fan of how the van looked, we traded the van in with roughly 65,000 miles. I hope that yall don’t have similar problems. Just thought I would share! I believe that it’s a good car, we just had a lot of problems with our van
