Alright lets be honest, this trucks are good vehicles but dont let them fool you, they can turn into a huge money grave quick if you ignore the issues they can have, they are known to have electrical issues (really easy fix to be honest, splice is under fuse block under hood and all you need is to redo the splice), transmissions, they arent the greatest thing but taking care of them and not driving like you’re in a 7 sec car will keep it alive for a good while, they ate old trucks lets be real, most of this trucks have been thru xxxx and back already so if you buying one keep in mind this.

The money pit that wouldn't quit

The Dodge Dakota was nothing special. Just a mid sized truck. Like most dodge trucks from the 90's it had a bulletproof engine that could most likely last a million miles. Now only if the rest of the truck could have lasted half as long then maybe Toyota would have had a run for their money. If you are the kind of person that does not mind running around in a truck that has A/C and a Radio that are just for looks and may or may not break down on you depending on the amount of duct tape and zip ties you have stashed in the back seat. You have found a winner!
