Expert 2025 Chrysler Voyager review

Web design is hard (so we’re told by our colleagues when we stop in the break room for more coffee). Maybe that’s why the 2023 Chrysler 300 has been languishing in the brand’s online configurator. Without it, there would be only two vehicles available — the Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid — and the page would look empty.

No more. Maybe now the 300 can finally rest because Chrysler is reintroducing the Voyager for the 2025 model year. As it was in 2020 and 2021, the Voyager is just an entry-level Pacifica with a different name, but unless you manage a commercial fleet, you haven’t been able to buy a Voyager since the 2021 model.

Pacifica Lite

Visually, only the front and rear bumpers differentiate the Voyager from the Pacifica. The Pacifica’s plug-in hybrid powertrain will not make it to the Voyager, nor will all-wheel drive. The Voyager is strictly front-wheel drive, with Chrysler’s 3.6-liter V-6 engine sending 287 horsepower and 262 pounds-feet of torque through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Voyager gets the same fuel economy as the 2025 Pacifica; it’s EPA-rated 19/28/22 mpg city/highway/combined.

Standard safety features on the 2025 Voyager include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and rear parking sensors. The Voyager is available in a single trim level, LX, but it’s not the stripped-down economy model you might be expecting given that Chrysler is calling it a separate model from the Pacifica (though it is only available in three colors: black, white and red). The Voyager rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels and boasts a power liftgate and sliding doors, Chrysler’s flat-folding Stow ‘n Go seats in the second and third rows, and seven-passenger seating.

The Voyager LX is upholstered in synthetic leather and features a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, six speakers and second-row window shades. Its infotainment system consists of a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Alexa voice control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

More From Cars.com:

Availability and Pricing

Buyers can place orders for the 2025 Chrysler Voyager now, and the minivan will arrive at dealers in the fourth quarter of 2024. The company says the Voyager will start at $41,690 (price includes $1,695 destination fee). Chrysler has yet to announce pricing for the 2025 Pacifica, but based on the 2024 model’s prices, we expect the Voyager will only be cheaper by $2,000 or so.
