What Is the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban?

The Chevrolet Suburban is an extended-length version of the Tahoe full-size SUV, with seating for up to nine, considerably more cargo space than its sibling and a bit more third-row room, as well. It’s powered by a standard 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8 engine that works with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A 420-hp, 6.2-liter V-8 and a 277-hp, turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six are available. The Suburban comes with rear- or four-wheel drive, and competitors include the Ford Expedition Max and GMC Yukon XL.

The Suburban has 41.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind its second row and 23 cubic feet behind its third row, according to Cars.com’s cargo measurements. You can see how it scored in our Car Seat Check here.

The available Super Cruise hands-free driving system is a welcome addition for a long family road trip. Capable of towing heavy loads or venturing off-road in Z71 guise, the Suburban is a multidimensional, family-friendly workhorse. You’ll need lots of room to park it, however, and its available gas V-8s are thirsty.

Have owned other big vehicles like 3/4 ton 2500 Dodge Ram

Have owned other big vehicles like 3/4 ton 2500 Dodge Ram Hemi. I got a Duramax diesel engine in this Suburban. Saves on gas, believe it or not. Very comfortable, very smooth ride, and very quiet even after installing 2” lift and bigger tires. Have the Premier package. Definitely worth every bit of my money. Very heavy duty compared to the new 2024 Ford Expedition Max that I drove for quite some time. Has been very reliable. GM has been quick to fix any recalls. Have only had one recall. Compared to my Ram, it can keep up with all the towing and hauling just as much as my Hemi did. Turn radius is amazing. No problems! The 3.5 average rating on here is not accurate. Go test drive one for yourself.
