What Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5?

The Cadillac XT5 is a mid-size luxury SUV with seating for five people in two rows. It’s powered by a standard 235-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine; a 310-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 is optional. Both engines team with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and front- and all-wheel-drive models are offered.

Competitors include the Lexus RX 350, Lincoln Nautilus and Volvo XC60. The XT5 has 20.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind its backseat, according to Cars.com’s cargo measurements. You can see how it scored in our Car Seat Check here.

The XT5 is a comfortable mid-size luxury SUV, if not one of the sportier entries in its class. We like the available V-6 engine’s power and the fact that it runs on regular gas. The XT5 isn’t as luxurious as some competitors, however, and we don’t care for its touch-sensitive climate controls.

Gotta get the XT5 Sport.

This is my second XT5. Had a 2017 and never had a problem. Just got my 2023 XT5 Sport, and wow, maybe too much power for a senior citizen, but I love it. A few changes from the 2017, but love the car. I put other vehicles like the Jeep or GMC as beasts, my XT5 is more like a cat, still get where I want to be with luxury.

Love my new car!

Absolutely love it. Got the bigger motor and not sorry! Comfortable as ever. Nice sound system and lots of “tech”. Pretty interior and love the exterior paint!
