Cadillac’s massive Escalade received a huge update for the 2025 model year, with major infusions of luxury and tech features. Now we know the refresh is accompanied by a proportional price increase: With a base price of $89,590, the 2025 Escalade starts at $5,700 more than the 2024 model did (all prices include $1,995 destination).

What’s New
The 2025 Escalade’s face-lift includes squintier headlights and a larger grille with an illuminated Cadillac crest, but the major changes are inside. A 55-inch digital dashboard stretches from A-pillar to A-pillar, combining a 35-inch instrument panel and infotainment touchscreen with a 20-inch display for the front passenger. The latter is filtered to block it from the driver’s view and prevent distraction should the passenger choose to stream video. Yet another touchscreen below the main display handles secondary functions like the audio system and climate controls. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system is now standard.
Some of the new options are even more impressive: four power doors that open and close at the press of a button, and a driver’s door that automatically opens as the key fob approaches and closes with a press of the brake pedal. An optional Executive Second Row Package includes massaging second-row captain’s chairs with head restraint speakers, a pair of 12.6-inch displays attached to the front seatbacks, a rear-seat control touchscreen and two wireless charging pads.
Twenty-four-inch wheels, the largest ever offered on an Escalade, are also available, as are two new interior colors, red and light gray; a third black interior is available in the Escalade-V only.

Only the Eights Remain
The 2024 model’s diesel 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder, on the other hand, is no longer offered. That leaves Escalade buyers with a choice of two V-8s — but what a pair of V-8s they are. A 6.2-liter is standard and makes 420 horsepower and 460 pounds-feet of torque. Only available in the Escalade-V, the supercharged version of the 6.2-liter generates 682 hp and 653 pounds-feet. Both are teamed with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is a $3,000 option on all but the V, where it’s standard.
Fuel-economy ratings for the 2025 Escalade aren’t available yet, but they’re unlikely to change from 2024. The 2024 Escalade returns an EPA-rated 14/19/16 mpg city/highway/combined with RWD and 14/18/16 mpg with 4WD. Putting a 682-hp, supercharged V-8 into a 6,400-pound vehicle results in a predictably abysmal 11/16/13 mpg for the Escalade-V.
Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will go on sale in the winter. Pricing for the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV will be announced at a later date. Full pricing for the standard Escalade is as follows:
- Luxury: $89,590
- Premium Luxury: $98,790
- Sport: $99,390
- Premium Luxury Platinum: $118,390
- Sport Platinum: $118,890
- V-Series: $161,990
Safety Features and Trim Levels
Standard safety systems on the 2025 Cadillac Escalade include Super Cruise hands-free highway driving, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane departure steering assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
In addition, the entry-level Luxury trim includes 22-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, keyless entry and start, and remote start. The Escalade Luxury is upholstered in synthetic leather and features power-adjustable front seats, heated front and outboard second-row seats, tri-zone climate control, the 55-inch digital dashboard with Google Built-In, wireless phone charging and 19 speakers. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available.
The Premium Luxury trim level gets a different grille, a panoramic moonroof, real leather, and heated and ventilated front seats. The Sport features the same content, but it embellishes the exterior with black accents and dark-painted wheels.
The Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum add Cadillac’s air ride suspension, power-operated doors, an illuminated grille surround, semi-aniline leather front seats with a choice of perforated inserts or quilting, upgraded front seats with massage, a 36-speaker AKG Studio surround-sound system, the new dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system and night vision. The Executive Rear Seat Package, 24-inch wheels, and a center-console refrigerator and freezer are available on the Platinum trim levels.
Twenty-four-inch wheels are standard on the Escalade-V, which gets a dedicated 4WD system, plus unique front and rear styling, Brembo brakes with six-piston front calipers and an active sport exhaust. It also features an interior package with genuine carbon-fiber trim and the console fridge.
