Amazing car ruined by a bad design

I purchased a 2021 CT5-V after a short test drive and reading several reviews and watching at least a dozen videos on the car. I thought I was buying a car I would absolutely love and have for years to come. Unfortunately Cadillac made what I consider to be an inexcusable design choice that made the car the most uncomfortable car I’ve ever owned. The footwell is sloped pretty drastically from the drivers seat to the pedals. I honestly didn’t even notice on the test drive, nor was it mentioned in the reviews. It makes it impossible to position your foot in a comfortable position when driving on long trips. I literally can’t relax my right foot without it sliding down and pressing the gas. The sloped floor doesn’t let you. You have to pull you foot completely back up towards the seat and either angle it or jam your leg up between the steering wheel and the center console. What’s even more interesting is the CT4 and the old CT6 have flat foot wells like you are used to. It’s just the CT5 that’s like this. I am not sure if it’s different on the rear wheel drive model, I have the AWD. The other issue is the gas pedal hinges from the floor and that creates and odd transitions between the gas and brake when combined with the slope. It’s unlike any other car I’ve ever driven. I just don’t understand what they were thinking here. If I was only driving this car on short trips or occasionally (as a fun weekend cruiser) I think I could overlook this issue, but If you have a long commute or take long trips regularly (an hour or more) I would recommend you look elsewhere. Buyer beware on this otherwise amazing machine.
