Reliable car that is fast and technologically advanced for the model year. This car is on many enthusiasts bucket list. Engine has not been tampered with. Interior still smells like new leather.

I bought my s4 for 3400 out the door with 147k miles and i am now about 11k in to it in repairs mainly being the timing chain and clutch replacement as well as getting a missfire fixed and engine mounts replaced Other then those things the car is great it has the power to get up and go not to mention the handling while "not as great" as the bmw's of it's time if yoy drive it right you can still pull off just about the same things

I know it?s not the most advanced, most tech, most powerful vehicle to date. But it has character. I love the way it held up for being 2004 and loved the feeling i get when I?m behind the wheel. Unbelievable performance for such a heavy car. It will do things that would seem very un characteristic of a 4 door sedan. Gas mileage was my only complaint but silenced as soon as you step and hear the v8. Very classy and subtle car. Reliability was good when we worked the kinks out of the major and common problems.

Very quick. Reliable. Little thirsty but sure footed in all weather at any speed. Fun to drive and comfortable to cruise. Wonderful brakes. Some of the best front seats ever made

In the Avant (wagon) body style, the 2005 Audi S4 is a great all-arounder with ample performance to delight drivers. Ergonomic design stands up to this day as excellent, with an exception to a lack of proper cup holders, remedied quickly in the 2005.5 mid cycle refresh. 4.2 liter V8 motor revs rise and drop exotically compared to domestic contemporary V8s, challenging even seasoned manual transmission purists to step up their heel-toe game. Overall exterior styling remains handsome to this day. This owner is only apprehensive of numerous ominous forum discussions warning of failure prone timing chain guides leading to costly engine-out repairs with no apparent preventative maintenance.

Absolutely one of the funnest cars I've owned. Pure joy to drive. This S4 is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Instead of the turbo 4 in the A4, this one comes from the factory with a 340hp V8. Just turn the key and you'll know immediately this is not your typical little convertible. Matched to a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, the joy of driving comes quickly. They haven't had a V8 in a small convertible since 2005 so theses are hard to find.

Very nice car. Wish I didn't have to get rid of it just not driven much anymore but love it . Would recommend for car lover.

Great car for anyone. Safe, fun, and great looking. A real head turner. Extremely well designed and built. Very low maintenance. Low marks for gas mileage but who buys a V8 car for great gas mileage. This one is fast.
