Expert 2019 Audi Q7 review

our expert's take

What Is the 2019 Audi Q7?

The Audi Q7 is a three-row luxury SUV with room for up to seven people. It competes with models like the Acura MDX and BMW X5. Power comes from a standard 248-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine or an available 329-hp, supercharged V-6. An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard with both engines.

What's New on the 2019 Audi Q7?

Optional 20-inch wheels now come with run-flat all-season tires. MMI navigation is newly standard for Premium models. The Audi Virtual Cockpit, a digital dashboard that can be configured to different views, is standard on Premium Plus models, as is a 360-degree camera system, LED headlights and taillights, dynamic turn signals, and the Audi phone box with wireless charging.

What Features in the 2019 Audi Q7 Are Most Important?

Front pre-collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard, and adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert and other active safety features are available. Amenities such as heated front seats, a panoramic moonroof and xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights are standard, and you can add options such as an adaptive air suspension, a 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system and Audi's Virtual Cockpit.

Should I Buy the 2019 Audi Q7?

The Q7 emphasizes driving dynamics over practicality and utility, so it should appeal more to enthusiasts than those looking for a cushy three-row luxury SUV. The prices get steep with options, especially with the V-6 engine, but some competitors live in the same high-rent district. It's certainly worth a look, especially if you're searching for a luxury SUV that's entertaining to drive.

My best car ever!

I can’t tell you how much I love this car. Drives like a dream compared to my Cadillac Escalade. Handles well with plenty of acceleration. Nice clean designed exterior and well appointed interior. Only flaw are the drink holders and the lack of remote start since it is German.
