What Is the 2025 Audi A8?
The A8 is Audi’s largest, most luxurious and most expensive sedan. Sitting above the mid-size A6, the A8 competes with the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Genesis G90. The A8’s cabin offers abundant space in both rows, with indulgent options like massaging seats, reclining rear seats, and heated front and rear armrests. Getting the A8 down the road is a 335-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive is standard. For added performance, the S8 comes with a 563-hp, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that Audi says takes this plus-sized luxury machine from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds.

Should I Buy the 2025 Audi A8?
The Audi A8 gets you down the road in sublime comfort and silence. Its conservative approach to a full-size luxury sedan lacks some of the razzle-dazzle design and features found in rivals like the expansive 56-inch Hyperscreen display available in the Mercedes S-Class. Yet the A8 has more than enough power and prestige to satisfy the vast majority of shoppers who can afford a top-of-the-line Audi sedan. The A8’s cabin tech has a learning curve, but it’s highly customizable and has quick response times. Trunk space is just OK for a vehicle this size, however, and some safety features — including blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert — should be standard equipment but aren’t.
