1 star for the simple fact zero wasn’t an option.
1 star for the simple fact zero wasn’t an option. Never would I recommend somebody do business with this dealership. I live 4.5 hours away and made an agreement on a price at 1 pm and began my drive to the dealership. I had asked to get the deal in writing, not just a verbal commitment from Tracy, the pre-owned manager. At 2:30 I called to ask about the contract and was told by the salesperson Jeremy that the car had been test driven and may no longer be available. A quick 10 minutes later, Jeremy called back to say the car was sold and proceeded to blame me for having been difficult to negotiate with. GO FIGURE. The price had been agreed upon already so that was an excuse for poor and shady business. I asked for Eric (GM) or Tracy to call me back and unsurprisingly, neither one did. I wasted a 3 hour round trip because of these people. Stay far, far away from this shady place. Completely unacceptable.

Let me first write that I did not purchase a vehicle from
Let me first write that I did not purchase a vehicle from Vandergriff. We did not come to terms, which I completely understand and am very thankful of at this point. As the process went on, I became more and more concerned. It's the way we got through the process that is most distressing. On the Vandergriff website, and in their responses to reviews, they write how committed they are to customer satisfaction. Those are marketing words and not truly something this dealership believes in. Their tactics were deceitful, dishonest and unprofessional. The price of the vehicle was raised the day I was to negotiate the price - the reason: "market demand". As with other reviewers, Vandergriff included $2,917 in options - none of which I wanted or requested. When asked to remove them, they communicated to me that the clear coat finish was already done. Interesting when the vehicle didn't have it done when I spoke with them on Saturday evening, but somehow was done by 11:00am Monday morning (closed on Sundays) and yet pictures showed that nothing had been done to the vehicle. I spent 4 hours back and forth negotiating, all of which could have been done in less than 30 minutes if they were truly interested in customer satisfaction. The issue - management. From the General Manager, Jimmy Le, to the General Sales Manager, Mike Luong, to a Sales Manager Eric Fuentz (who has been mentioned in a number of reviews in a negative way) and another named Tracy, not one was interested in calling me back to discuss the deal or my customer dis-satisfaction. They don't care. And the way they treated a junior sales person was horrible. Management played him to get the sale and put him in a very difficult position. So if you want to buy from a reputable dealership, do what I didn't do and read the reviews. Vandergriff is not one of those reputable dealerships. My issues are not uncommon for Vandergriff and I anticipate receiving a response about how important my feedback is and how sorry they are that it happened. Nothing has changed with the feedback they've received. Buyers beware. Vandergriff uses the old school, high pressure, deceptive tactics, "I have to talk to my manager" (but the potential buyer can't) type of salesmenship to sell you a car. If you chose to buy from them, best of luck.

BUYER BEWARE I have purchased a lot of used cars over
BUYER BEWARE I have purchased a lot of used cars over the years but never have I encountered the level of dishonesty and deceit as I did at Vandergriff Acura. After making an offer, the sales guy came back with an offer sheet that attempted to add on $4,000 in “dealer options.” Yes, you read that right. $4,000 in garbage like nitrogen tires, tint (the car was already tinted), ceramic clearcoat, and a bunch of other stuff that no one wants and—worse—was already in or on the car. I asked if he thought I was a moron, or whether I just looked stupid, and he said no, but these additions would get the car into saleable form. xxx? The retail price already includes those things because the car is already for sale! I left this dealer and drove straight to Huffines in Plano, where I bought a car on the spot. No one tried to upsell me on garbage no one needs or tried to slide xxxx onto the offer sheet. The entire process was transparent and I’ll gladly buy cars there in the future. In short, if you are okay being cheated, by all means make your way to Vandergriff Acura in Arlington. They will do their level best to take advantage of you. If not, go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that you are displeased with your experience. We take all customer concerns seriously and strive to maintain transparency in every transaction. Please reach out to Mike Luong, our General Sales Manager, at mluong01@vtaig.com so we can address your concerns directly and work towards a resolution. We value your input and hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust.
The “resolution” is that I left your dealership after the shocking level of unprofessionalism and multiple attempts to cheat me out of $4000 in “options” that were already included in the sales price. Even after I asked the salesperson if I looked like an idiot and crossed out the add-ons in the offer sheet he brought it back a second time and a third time and tried to get me to agree to it. It was like I was in the Twilight Zone. What exactly is your GM going to do to rectify this? I’ve read dozens of reviews from other potential buyers who experienced this EXACT same thing so my guess is that you teach your salesman and managers to try to cheat everyone and sometimes you succeed. There’s nothing you can do for me now. After leaving your dealership I drove straight to Huffines in Plano where I purchased a car. My goal now is to prevent anyone else from having to go through what I went through. Thanks for giving me that opportunity.
Google Review for Vandergriff Acura - Used Car Sales
Google Review for Vandergriff Acura - Used Car Sales Department ⭐☆☆☆☆ My experience at Vandergriff Acura’s used car department was extremely disappointing, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of sales manager Eric Fuentes. My husband and I visited the dealership twice—first on January 28 and again on February 22—and both times we were met with dismissive and disrespectful treatment. During our first visit, Mr. Fuentes was pushy and condescending, particularly toward me, making it clear that he did not value my input in the decision-making process. His attitude was so unprofessional that we decided to walk away from the deal altogether. Two weeks later, after receiving a text from a salesperson promising a specific deal ($26,843, $0 down, and a $400-$500 monthly payment), we gave the dealership another chance. However, upon returning, we were presented with a different car that had 40,000 more miles, and the numbers suddenly didn’t add up. After hours of negotiations, Mr. Fuentes returned to the table with an increasingly dismissive and disrespectful attitude, completely ignoring my valid concerns and directing all conversation toward my husband as if my input didn’t matter. At that point, I had to request another manager and asked that Mr. Fuentes remove himself from the conversation. Even after that, he never made any effort to address me, apologize, or rectify the situation. This dealership clearly lacks professionalism, transparency, and respect for all customers, particularly women. If you’re looking for a dealership that values integrity and fair treatment, I’d strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Biggest con men I've ever dealt with.
Biggest con men I've ever dealt with. I was shopping for a car last year after a hard freeze and snow. The car was black and dirty from rain spots. They said their car wash was broken from the freeze. I stupidly bought the car anyway. They must not have told the detailer the scam because when I went outside with the keys it had been washed and I could see that the paint was completely wrecked. It looked like someone had gone after it with a sander. They initially refused to refund my money until I went around every other customer in the dealership telling them what was going on. I had to run off 3 buyers before they gave me my check back and tore up the contract. xxxxxxxx.

I took my 2014 MDX to Vandergriff Acura for diagnosis on
I took my 2014 MDX to Vandergriff Acura for diagnosis on a noise checking and paid $200 for it. I've always kept up with maintenance on my car. When I returned home, my car dash board had all different warning signs on, and my car did not even start at all. I went right back to the service. The service rep (Maricio) denied any wrong doing from their part. I was told that I could pay $120 to tow my car back to the service for a recheck. The dealership to my house is about 3 miles. It is very upsetting and disappointing that before I took my car in for a check up, the car was running smoothly without no problem, but when I returned home, the car is not running at all. Please be careful when you take your car to them for services, they are CROOKS.

Bait and switch alive and well at this place, The reviews
Bait and switch alive and well at this place, The reviews on the dealership pathetic, here is another one to add the the growing list. - agreed on a vehicle price after 2 days of negotiations to be told they won’t honor the agreement unless I finance the car through them because they were losing to much money? Really - buyer beware, total waste of time. I will be calling corporate so they are away of my experience and to have them read all these negative reviews. Time for new management at this place.
